ok so. i'm physically disabled without my colon. i have to take a chronic med known as Mesalamine. been doing so for about 4-5 years. im not gonna sugarcoat it, if i don't take it my diarrhea is exponentially worse. recently i changed insurance because im old enough to have gotten my own job & health coverage. everything was fine for another full year until suddenly it wasn't and cost $600. "huh" i thought. "i should call to make sure this is correct". they say that it is NOT covered by my insurance and i will have to pay full price until my deductible is filled. this gives me a full blown panic attack IN FRONT OF MY MOTHER who is the sweetest woman ever and does not deserve to see me like this, but this is one of the worst financial situations i have ever been in. we find out i can at least get it down to $200 if i can transfer to CVS. i try FOUR times to do so. this is still pending and i have NOTHING to show for it.

my mother recommends i call the insurance again to make sure that specific medication is or is not covered. "what a silly idea!" i think.
"surely the insurance would not give me blatantly false information!" i call the insurance again and they say the medication is covered. this is good news until i try to contact my doctor. twice. and they still haven't responded at all. now it's the weekend. i have no more medication. I want to rip their throat out and shove it down their rectum until they have the same condition i do.
