Had Trump given a more honest speech, while it might have had the same braggadocious tone, the meaning would have been very different.

That’s because, were the ugly truth to have been told, Trump would have to admit that by having strengthened Iran’s hardliners while actively undermining NATO, by having pushed up the price of oil, by having removed sanctions on Russia and Iran to “ensure oil flows more freely,” and by having, at the same time, depleted precious U.S. military resources, he has achieved a big triumph.

For Russia.

In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive—because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority. Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about “Western civilization,” while armed brutes try to tear it down by force.

So I don't scream at the world with all the dark going on.... I've played around with beads and buttons. A heartfelt wish of love to everybody who follows me in these dark days and who is trying for a better world. (Bead embroidery is new to me. I will be doing more. And applique, too) #crafting

In my adventures in real life, I was at a bazaar today selling my crafts. Nice to touch, well not grass, but life with other people from time to time. All made and/or assembled by me. I'll never get rich doing this, but I craft too much to keep it all to myself.

Text Box: The field operation was devised consciously as an attempt to win Trump-voting defectors back into the Democratic fold. Exit polls from election night suggest that it worked.

Mamdani won the Bronx, a borough that is majority Hispanic and which had swung notably towards Trump, by 11 points.

That’s on top of his soaraway success with young voters, with an astonishing 78% of 18- to 29-year-olds backing him.

Part of the strategy to woo back Trump defectors was an emphasis on showing respect for everyone on the doorstep. Canvassers were encouraged to engage with people, without judgment.

“We’ve emphasised that it’s important not to chastise, not to speak down to people who turned to Trump or who just don’t vote,” López said.

The one thing the deficit hawks never mention is the fact that as the tax cuts for the rich bloom and poverty and sickness circle what used to be the middle class the US is like a person who brings home less and less income because the elite unwilling to pay their fair share want it that way.

Users have shared false claims that federal records show Robinson was a donor to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2020. Fact: The actual donor is a different man with the same first and last name; the suspect has no record of federal election donations.
A doctored image purports to show Robinson wearing a pro-Trump shirt. Fact: The image was created from a photo of Robinson wearing a plain shirt without any political messages.
Users have falsely claimed Robinson is a registered Republican. Fact: Robinson is registered as unaffiliated with a political party and is listed as “inactive,” meaning he hasn’t voted in either of the last two general elections.
Posts falsely claiming Robinson’s father works or worked in the sheriff’s office in Washington County, Utah. Fact: The sheriff’s office issued a statement debunking the claim, saying a retired deputy who also has the last name Robinson is “NOT connected or related to” the suspect.

‼️You may be seeing on the news that a young man named Tyler Robinson has been arrested in connection with Charlie Kirk’s death. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, was arrested in Washington County last night and he has been transported to Utah County. The Utah County Attorney’s Office has jurisdiction over the case.
The individual arrested is NOT related to Washington County law enforcement! There are multiple people with the same names. We thank our local and federal law enforcement officials for their coordination in the investigation and arrest.

My poor 12 year old doggo had to have a growth right above his left shoulder removed today. Probably cancerous, but we'll find out for sure in a couple of weeks.😢😢😢😢 Poor guy. He's been the sweetest doggo ever.
