A tiny sliver of beach with no People in it! Gray-green ocean with white waves breaking at the shore, gray sand, and the edge of the lifeguard stand with his backpack hanging from the crossbar.

No lifeguard or beachgoers because I am not a creeper!

The beach continues to rock.

The ocean is blue/green with little white breaking waves. The sand is gray and hard because my friends prefer to sit by the water. The seagull is sitting politely by the edge of the water.

This seagull's friends are less chill, I got divebombed for my potato chips. But I was victorious-- no precious potatoes were lost to a flying rat.

Weird to be at an airport looking for the menu item with the least amount of veggies but I am just not fucking with salad right now.

It me! A fat white woman whose brown hair is braided back off the forehand, wearing my light pink Gata mask which is less red than my hot and sweaty face.

No glasses because they fogged up! I am in my new plane dress, a black v-neck with white embroidery around the hem. I have it on good authority that it is very cute!

I am sitting in a green velvet booth. Who chooses that for a restaurant? Lunatics, that's who.

For many, many years, the top image in a Google search for my name was this Dustin Nguyen WildCats 3.0 cover. I am sure the Christian singer/songwriter who shares my name loved that.

I read this at my library when I was too young to check it out and spent YEARS hunting down a copy in used bookstores. Didn't realize until many years after that that they misspelled Wrightson's name!

Tried a new (to me) lunch spot in Burbank. Can't claim to know anything about Armenian food, but my Adana was delicious! Grilled chicken with veggies and potatoes, nothing elaborate but I shall return. Tun Lahmajo! Next time I try the lahmajo!

Any bug-ologists here wanna confirm my suspicion that this wasp is making herself a little home for baby wasps? Because this is my doorway and I really think that is a bad idea.

Closeup on a yellow and black flying bug poking their head into a black (maybe dark brown?) blob. Blob is new! It is inside the door jamb, I could close my door but then there is zero air or light in my living room.

Same description as previous but you can see the bug's head more clearly. If it's not a stinging death machine, I do not mind sharing. But I fear this is a bad sign.

P4: the punk is sitting on a bench, his arm wrapped around his new pal. "I'm ruthless no more." A tear falls from one eye behind his awesome sunglasses.

Made a new friend at the office today! He is a fuzzy spider! He has a spot! He has green eyes! He is now exploring the water bottle next to him in the picture.

Picture is fairly anonymous, it was taken from behind. There are a few other people I can't identify, a short rock wall and a bunch of trees nearby. But specifics I can tell you include:

A fat white lady wearing black shorts and a purple shirt, with white ankle socks and hot pink sneakers, topped with a floppy hat. I am holding the hand of my favorite tiny human, who has blonde hair in tiny buns and a yellow sundress. We are at the LA Zoo for her birthday. Picture taken in spring, but it is the first photo on this phone, so it counts for the meme.

I missed a whole image! Defeated by the carousel. Embarrassing.

This is a single image, the very fast flyer has swooped in for a landing.

The nice thing about having a talented friend/coworker take headshots is access to pro equipment and the comfort of knowing you are the only person who will post the outtakes on the internet.

Looking through my original art and found one last gift from Sam Kieth I can share.

A goofy two-panel b&w line drawing with a ton of cross hatching and a Mad Magazine-esque character design

P1 is a dorky guy in a bow tie who has a caption box pointing to him saying Playboy Bruce Wayne
P2 is the same guy in a cape & cowl with VERY pointy ears, who has an actual bat flying by, and text in the panel saying Shhh...dressed as BAT!

Sam drew these as part of an actual Batman comic and no one but me liked them, so he sent in a patch. When we officially returned the art, he cut this little bit out and sent it back with a note:
To Kristy, at least YOU got it! -Sam

But the ink is very faded so only the YOU which he emphasized in black ink is legible in the photo. You'll have to kinda trust me on the faded-to-yellow parts.

Huge swing in the results from iPad to Android phone, and honestly I can't tell if this was better or worse. This format is not kind to the parts of my brain that just don't think numbers are real. Makes deadline-setting a challenge!
