TFW a nesting box is too much responsibility because I can’t tell if these are house sparrows or not. I don’t wanna kill baby birds but also they are horrible invasive monsters here. 😭
It’s not a ‘bank glitch’, it’s theft. Just because a big company does it doesn’t make it okay. Ugh. Hope your luck turns around soon. Please enjoy a picture of my fur demons, it can’t hurt.
Fezzik says I can’t just take his picture anytime I think he looks cute. But he is wrong. Infinite pictures is the cost he pays for looking that good.
This is James, reminding you that if hydration doesn’t help then naps are also good.
Husband insists I include something that he didn’t bring into the house. I painstakingly cleaned, patched, and restuffed this elderly teddy bear so I’m sure the fact he’s definitely haunted is not going to cause *me* problems.
Our most cursed object is the stuffed toy monkey with rhinestone buttons for eyes but I’m not putting a picture of that on the internet, the world doesn’t deserve it. Runner up is Golf Monkey (chimpanzee, I know) that feels racist and is also aesthetically alarming:
Jessie and James, momentarily taking a break from aiming sibling torment at each other.
Every year I’m compelled to take a photo of the first spring blooms because they feel magical and impossible after the winter.
I made all the flowers for my wedding out of coffee filters - cheaper and more environmentally friendly than getting real flowers. I reused the flowers in an Easter wreath.
I had a mini-coon too, she had a pedigree like royalty but her future as a queen was lost to being spectacularly ill as a kitten. She missed maybe nine months of growth. She was raised by vet staff and did not understand how to cat. Our sweet chaos monster.
This is the kitten I would have kidnapped if I wasn’t an upstanding citizen (most of the time). Black smoke Egyptian Mau cats are magic - ghost markings though a smoke coat fade out in every other breed but this one. Seriously, this kitten is perfect.
The costume contest wasn’t until the next day but I snagged a preview. This guy had just aged out of the kitten class and the jacket compressing his fluff just made him seem tinier.
As with all Abyssinian cats, this guy was too smart to just doze through the show and instead plotted shenanigans the whole time.
I had a really hard time getting a picture of the Burmilla. First time I’ve ever seen one, even as a long time cat fancier. Didn’t manage to catch him out of the ring either.
This guy was a hugger - open the cage door and you get a slinky soft cloud to the neck immediately.
Assorted pictures from my visit to the cat show this weekend, because we all need some cat pictures right now.
This is Griffin. He’s a Devon Rex, and was probably around eight years old when we snagged him from a local shelter. He was a delightfully opinionated character, and he won over my ‘cat-hating’ father by force of personality and involuntary cuddles.
