Just finished the Rascal Does Not Dream series. Went in expecting a usual romcom, but it's more a supernatural mystery with romance & comedy woven in. Sakuta is now one of my fave romantic leads. His acerbic wit is great, but what really stands out is how genuinely kind and empathetic he is.

Been on a romance anime kick lately, and one of my favorites is "A Sign of Affection." Follows Yuki, a deaf college girl, and Itsuomi, a well-traveled polyglot who learns sign language as they grow closer. Really sweet romance & handles the subject matter with care. On Crunchyroll with sub & dub.

After catching up on the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, I finished the manga last night. I have a sad because there is no more left to read. While not perfect, I loved the worldbuilding & I really bonded with the characters. And while I haven't consumed a lot, this overtook AoT as my fave. #JujutsuKaisen

Had an awesome Mother's Day! My boys spoiled me rotten with some awesome gifts: A Jujutsu Kaisen cross body bag, some 3d printed JJK themed knives and the Persona 3 and Persona 5 soundtracks on vinyl. Couldn't be more geeked out right now if I tried!

Finished P5R again. Almost always have a Persona game going as they let me escape to my happy place. Thinking P3P next as I have a hankering for romancing me some Akihiko. Plus, I've missed playing as Kotone. Still salty she wasn't part of Reload. #persona #atlus #justiceforkotone

707: Upbeat & light-hearted, until it isn't. He covers his pain with humor, which is something I can relate to. His frequent availability for calls really deepen his story & left me grinning from ear to ear. He bares his heart & soul to the MC which makes the ending of his route so worth it. (7/7)

Jumin: I love him in other's routes but my god, y'all, this man is insufferable after the 1st story branch. This is the kind of relationship I would never want to be in. Surprisingly, I preferred his normal over his good end and I didn't feel the need to jump out of a window anymore (IYKYK). (6/7)

Jaehee: An adorable route! Nothing is stated outright, but it is definitely coded as romantic between her & MC and I'm here for it. That said, her friendship with Zen has me shipping them a bit as well. A nice palette cleanser before delving into the much darker Deep Story routes. (5/7)

Yoosung: Probably the most "normal" bachelor of the group. I expected him to be yandere & early on it leans that way, but once he moves past his Rika fixation, he opens up and is genuinely sweet trying to prove himself worthy of the MC. His after story shows how much he grows after meeting MC. (4/7)

Zen: Easily the most openly flirty & romantic route. I’d call him vain rather than narcissistic since even though he is fixated on his own stunning looks, he is genuinely kind. Jumin aside, he goes out of his way to help people. He also cracks me up in the other routes as the "Mom" of the RFA. (3/7)

Update on my quest for all the Mystic Messenger endings. I’ve cleared the Prologue plus all Common & Deep Story endings. Some of the bad endings are seriously DARK! Being mean to pixel people is tough and so many things I had to say for the bad ends were just cruel. (1/7) #MysticMessenger #Cheritz

For a bit of lighter news....managed to make it down to Portland last night for the Demon Slayer in concert show. It was super fun and now I wanna rewatch the anime yet again. It covered the most epic music/scenes from Season 1 and then ended with a bit of the Mugen Train arc. #demonslayer

Decided to play Mystic Messenger again and try to get all the endings. Some were particularly difficult (*cough* Bad Relationship #2 *cough*) but I finally got all of Zen's endings. Next up, Yoosung! I missed how fun & ridiculous this game is as well as it's catchy theme song. #mysticmessenger

Gonna curl up & relax a bit with Raidou Remastered in order to take a break from the world for a while. Definitely has a feel of a Persona game, but also different in a good way. Something cathartic about running around and dispatching evil demons. 🤔 #atlus #raidou #rpggaming

2025 was a weird year in gaming for me. Time was limited and I mostly played comfort games. But for what it's worth, this is what I managed to knock out this year. Expedition 33 and Split Fiction are definitely my new game stand outs.

Finished my replay of Persona 3 Reload (I freaking love that game) and decided to finally try Expedition 33. Wish me luck! Apparently there is a complicated dodge/parry system and I am kinda terrible at dodging and parrying. 😅 #persona3reload #expedition33

Tonight, for the first time in a long time, I had the pleasure of joy scrolling. I know things are still rough out there, and there is much we need to keep fighting for. But, in this moment, it gave me something I seem to be in short supply of these days...hope. And no one can take that from me.

Sometimes I think Sammy is not really one cat, but rather three cats in a cat shaped trench coat based on the amount of fur he sheds. His brother, Dean, does not shed nearly this much. On the bright side, at least this is one furball that won't end up under my couch.

Took a break from Yakuza to replay the Mass Effect trilogy...for some strange reason I wanted to experience a story where someone would swoop in & save the galaxy from certain doom. 🤔 My upteeth playthrough & I actually resisted Garrus, so it's me, Kaidan (& sometimes Thane) against the world!

Finished up my replay of Persona 5 (romanced Hifumi if anyone is interested). Now its back to my Yakuza series (re)playthrough with Yakuza 3. Definitely a step back in terms of gameplay niceties from Y0-YK2, but I'm still having fun. Although that hostess minigame can bite me. #yakuza #kiryuchan
