(I had a much less strenuous morning at the mobile food pantry today, even though my main station involved lifting flats of pineapples. Sure, it helped that temps have been cooler due to this week's storms and we had plenty of cloud cover. But I think I also had a special somebody watching my back.)

(I hope @jortsthecat.bsky.socia would be proud of me or at least amused. During my last session at my conference this morning, when the presenter was gushing about how much she loves Starbucks and the brilliance of their branding, I repeatedly added, "and union busting" 😹)

(I thought @gonzo.bsky.social and @jortsthecat.bsky.social might like this project that the teens did at the library up where my brother and @robotico-el.bsky.social are. Also, I don't know if I've told folks here, but I'm going back to school this fall so I can be a librarian when I grow up!)

(This morning was a bit hectic, and Quentin had gotten into Penny and Fogg's room when I was feeding them. When I went to let him out later, Debs got in and she was showing no interest in leaving when I needed to leave for a funeral. It's hard to get her out while keeping Penny in, so I left her.)

(I got called in this morning to work the voter registration tent, so I'm getting a little extra sock knitting in. I forgot to grab my stitch markers in my haste, though, so I don't know if I'll keep going past the toe on the new sock. Let's see how brave I feel.)

(Speaking of our farmworker besties, here are just some of the gorgeous tomatoes that we bagged up. According to the boxes, they came from what @michaelhobbes.bsky.social refers to as "Ron DeSantis's Florida," so I'm not going to hold my breath about their working conditions, though.)

(I have to admit this had way more to do with procraftinating than Pride Month because I wasn't actually going to finish even one sock today, let alone the pair, BUT I turned the heel and have almost finished the first repeat of the gradient, so that felt nice, at least.)
