Some snapshots I made using my phone yesterday as we drove from Bergen to Vik and then to Jølster over the Gaular mountain. Yes thats a stave church. Yes it was scary driving the bendy road i the thick fog.
Happy...! uh, Sunday? Ok so I was on the other side of the country on the last Portfolio Day. So enjoy this post with 4 pictures, where I also let everyone know that you can buy my art and if you have questions, please just in the comments or send an e-mail to ladykimono85@gmail.com.
Yesterday, over a 100 homes burned down in Drammen, Norway. Luckily, only 3 people have sustained mild injury. But man, the images from the fire is harrowing.
I have been making the art and the origami lately, also working on the house and some other secret stuff. But today, the sun came out and I am getting some vitamin D!
This is the last day I have my 25% of everything in my store, so I do urge you to check it out! #sale #artmadebyhuman ladykimonoart.etsy.com
Oh its been sooo many years, I would not blame you for forgetting. Also, I have change my handle and it was on DeviantArt^_^ But yea, here is the drawing:
The journey continues with the old frame and sun damaged Zorn-print. I added a acrylic colour first layer and today I did the first layer of oils^_^
Also, if anyone knows what these ornaments are made of? As you can see in the photos below, a bit of the bottom has been knocked of at some point and so shows the material thats under the paint.
Ok so I bought this framed print at a thrift store. And I might need some help, because I want to paint something else over the print. But hiw do I go about it? Do I remove the print? How do I clean and prepare the frame for paint? Any tips are appreciated!
Ever since I started to make Origami, I have had trouble showing them both at home and at fairs. So when I found the perfect materials at a hardware store, I just bought them. A few days later, one cut finger and hours of work, the Origami Rack is done! #handmade #humanmade
I hope everyone is having a very fantastic weekend! The sale in my shop is still on, and includes prints like this! Yes, I made this. Its a digital drawing, and I print it on command from home. Real art made by a real human;) Because #fuckAI.
I rarely ever take selfies anymore, and I am the family photographer... so here's and old photo. I am bi and gender void. This is what that looks like. I am also AudDHD. But first and foremost and I am a parent, artist and partner^_^ #artistonbsky #artsky #happypride
Chrysanthemums is is both very rewarding and frustrating to draw, so having good reference photos can really help. Especially since I discovered that I can merge several photos to get a result where the whole flower can in focus even though I had to shoot it with a macro lens. #referencephoto
✨Shameless Self Promotion Saturday✨ Its still June, so I am still running the 25% of everything in my Etsy store^_^ ladykimonoart.etsy.com
The Dahlia is one of my very favourite flowers. This is an oil-painting I did a few years ago, where I wanted to paint a women who is transitioning into her true beautiful self. Happy #Pride ! #artsky #oilpainting #traditionalart

Went to the grocery store this morning and they had small bouquets of Peony (no idea what the plural is) and I set up my camera to see if I could figure out how to take multiple photos with different focus and then merge them. And I did! #peony #flowerphotography #Affinity
My throat infection is still kicking my ass, but I did want to post something for #mermay so I dug up this old piece. The piece was sold at a convention in Amsterdam a few years back and I still kinda miss it.
Looks like I have been getting some new followers lately! Thank you^_^ My name is Ida, I live on the west coast of Norway and I love to paint, draw, fold, photograph and more. I have been sick this week, so I thought this piece was fitting to repost:
My mother and I went to a lecture at a local museum (very cool experience) and as we where walking back to the car, I saw this scene: A man with very long dreads, looking at a magpie that was using his scaffolding as a perch. So I decided to sketch it from memory.
What a cool list! My name is Ida and I am a (mostly) traditional artist from Norway^_^ My fav part of the process is when I feel the sketch is making sense. Playing with the colour scheme. And the feel of brush on paper.
There is a hill close to my house, and its a very nice place, but its always been very overgrown. This year, the neighbourhood has rented goats to make it easier to clean out the overgrowth^_^ I have goats for neighbours!
