I collected a zebra jumping spider today. Thought it might be a juvenile phidippus audax but more likely a Salticus senicus. I am calling them Po because when I first saw them I thought they looked like a panda.

This is one of my best works of coloring. It took weeks to complete. Not perfect but I love it. #coloring

A colored in coloring paper of mushrooms in a forest on a lighted path. The lanterns appear to cast a glow and the shadows are opposite the light sources. The coloring is done in markers and gel pen. This is a piece that took weeks to finish and the style is inspired by Thomas Kinkade. It is my first piece like this. Mostly completed at work during breaks or long phone calls/meetings.

#addBirder I have a great blue heron and a great egret living locally. They share the nearby ponds with wood ducks, mallards, green wing teal ducks, turtles, and Canadian geese passing through.

Not normally a christmas person but I did put up a goth version of the christmas tree. Zoom in to see the details.

A black willow tree Halloween decoration that has purple LED lights in the branches. Additional orange and purple spider LEDs circle the tree. There is a small, silver spider on top. Other decorations include a white orb with an eyeball painted on it, several black bulb ornaments, an orange bat, an orange bow, and a fruity candy cane. The foot of the tree is surrounded by various decorative skulls.

We have a cat and he does not mess with this tree despite it being a feast of dangles. He gets enough enrichment that he seems content with his own toys.

They weren't always like that and neither was Vox. I want to know what happened to both of them. Notice the bend in their damaged antenna are similar to how Alastor's staff was when repaired.

Valentino and Vox in an old photo with both antenna intact. This is visible in the scene just preceding the song "Stayed Gone" in season one. In current day these two V's both have bent left antenna. Their antenna are bent similarly to Alastor's staff in season two.

#jumpingspider #spooder #spider #spiders Sal the jumping spider is feasting on his Thanksgiving fruit fly. Nom Nom. Including a picture of his enclosure which is so freaking cool. I love spider keeping.

Sal the jumping spider (a male platycryptus californicus, I think) has been my pal since he descended to my desk from the ceiling in my office on Oct 14th. I collected him in a special cup I keep specifically for rescuing spiders to transplant them somewhere safer. I decided he was too cute and vulnerable to put outside and I would protect him so now he lives in an enclosure that looks like a house with climbs and hides and a tiny "lake" where I deposit a drop of water for him to drink from now and then.

An early configuration of Sal's house shaped enclosure. It's 5×5×8". The blue thing on the roof is the lid to the cup resting over the closed feeding hatch. The cup is inside as I had just released Sal into his new home.
