Now that Nib and Ink fest is over I can post this silly little comic I did for the charity zine. The theme was 'Eureka'.

PANEL 1

REY
Yes! This is it. With this brew I’ll redeem everything about myself.

I'm so dedicated to not having any of my process look even remotely AI generated that I hand paint my model textures. No part of our process requires AI, and @ellie.bsky.social and I are just a two-person studio with zero budget, so there's no excuse for larger studios.

We washed up on this island.

The three stand around on the beach and form a plan.

Let’s salvage what we can and wait for rescue.
BOTH

When you’re too old for the book fair but still crave that new eraser scent, you can always go to your local bookstore for your fix. Visit Footnotes and all our other fine retailers at the Crystal Mall grand opening on May 24th! #mayllennial #gamejam

I gotta say, after finding out about the whole "Chrome installs a 4gb AI model on your computer thing", I've been really pleased with the switch back to Firefox. Yea there's AI, because _everything_ has it, but I dare say I prefer (???!) Firefox after years of Chromium. Also this is nice.

#gamedev pretty much all of the time

The demo was used to announce a new Zelda game, and fan were really excited about the realistic look. On the bottom is Wind Waker, which is the game that was released, and when the art direction was announced for it fans were furious that it didn't look like the demo. Wind Waker has since become one of the most beloved and well-received Zelda, both gameplay wise and artistically.

Made my own drawing board for a little under $70 using a piece of birch, a photography "cheese plate", and a tripod. I've been using it for a few days now and it's fantastic: customizable height, comes apart for transport/storing, and customizable. I'm going to write up a little tutorial soon!

I'm really happy with the result of my 2025 bingo card. I'll be writing up a post with new goals and a reflection of last year sometime today.

A bingo card for 2025 with my goals. The theme is consistency. There are multiple squares that ramp up on the number of a given item, like 5, 10, and 15 books. There are art, cycling, game and blender challenges along with some writing and blogging.
