My wife and I. 2 weeks in the Norwegian mountains. 250 km. 8 km up and 8 down again. Snow, ice, wind. I love the solitude, the chance meetings and the vibe in the self service huts. Love the cold weather. Back in the wold, the news have just gotten even more unhinged. #norway #hiking #DNT

I like to make puzzles. My wife made this to me based on a picture of myself looking out over a mountain lake in the Pyrenees. Oh my (insert diety) it was a lot of shades of green grassland. And lots of fun.

We are doing a birthday hike for my wife at Bjäre peninsula, Sweden. 55 km along the coast. We have stopped for the night at the hotel at Hovshallar and enjoying the luxury of indoor sleeping and good food.

Norway has a fantastic tourist organisation, DNT, that makes the wast empty mountains accessible for people. There are self service huts where you can resupply and sleep indoors.

My wife and I have finished first stage - 300 km - of walking Norway from south to north. With this speed it will take 10 years.  I already longe to return and continue. So beautiful
