Last night, Trump slashed Utah's Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante national monuments by 90% each, stripping protections from nearly 3 million acres. He is gutting our public lands so billionaire polluters can drill and mine at will. History will not remember this president kindly.

Republicans in Congress have enabled Trump's disastrous presidency. They passed his so-called Big Beautiful Bill that gutted clean energy, increased our bills, and gave tax cuts to billionaires. They have turned a blind eye to his corruption and use of taxpayer dollars for his own vanity projects.

Trump and Republicans in Congress are paying energy companies billions of dollars to cancel their offshore wind projects. Offshore wind is good for the environment AND lowers our energy bills. Absolutely no one but Big Oil benefits from this.
GOOD NEWS: Virginia has rejoined the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI). 🌎 Gov. Spanberger signed a bill making it official three years after Gov. Youngkin withdrew the state. Rejoining the RGGI will reduce carbon pollution, bolster clean energy, and save Virginians money on their bills.
Trump has now paid energy companies over $2.5 billion to terminate offshore wind projects that would have provided affordable energy to millions of Americans. This benefits no one except for Trump's Big Oil buddies. Our energy costs will continue to soar while they laugh all the way to the bank.

GOOD NEWS: New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill (D) just signed three major energy bills! The bills will save New Jerseyans $1 billion annually, increase oversight of utilities, and require data centers to pay their fair share. Sherrill also announced a $25 credit for 3.6 million New Jersey ratepayers.

On this day in 1916, what is now Maine's Acadia National Park was established as Sieur de Monts National Monument. Thanks to Trump cuts and firing of federal workers, however, Acadia and other national parks are at risk. We can't sit by and watch them destroy our nation's most treasured places.

GOOD NEWS: California is suing the Trump administration for paying an energy company to unlawfully end the Golden Wind offshore wind project. Golden Wind would power over a million Californian homes and lower energy costs and pollution. Makes you wonder why Trump is fighting it so hard. 🤔
