Same charts for the least number of players used - Penrith (25), Cronulla (25) and Canberra (26)
Some team stability chart updates after Round 22. Melbourne, Brisbane & Wests Tigers have used 33 players, the most in the NRL, with Souths at 31
Top/bottom 20 players from NRLW Round 5 by the Eye Test's Player Contribution Rating (ETPCR). Raecene McGregor's +7.104 is the fourth highest individual game score of the season. One of the best games I've seen a player have this year
Top/Bottom 20 players for NRL Round 22 by the Eye Test's Player Contribution Rating (ETPCR). As I revealed on SEN this morning, Sam Walker was #1 this week at +10.865, the highest single game score this season, ahead of James Tedesco's +10.307 from Round 8
Remembering NRL officials telling the SMH that the reason for lower six again counts was because Penrith, Melbourne and Brisbane had byes during the Origin period. Unless I'm wrong (known to happen) I'm pretty sure they've all played over the past three weeks
Almost like the competition has been played under two different rule sets...
Top/Bottom 20 players for NRLW Round 4 by the Eye Test's Player Contribution Rating (ETPCR). Jocelyn Kelleher's +8.039 is the third highest individual game of the season, behind Lavinia Tauhalaliku in Round 3 (+8.382) & Jamie Chapman in Round 2 (+8.170)
Top/Bottom 20 players for NRL Round 21 by the Eye Test's Player Contribution Rating (ETPCR) Second week in a row at #1 for Ethan Sanders. His +9.695 is the third highest individual game this season behind James Tedesco in Round 8 (+10.307) and Nicho Hynes in Round 19 (+9.786)
A lot can change in 12 months After Round 20, 2025 Cronulla were +21 in cumulative net penalties (awarded-conceded), 1st in the NRL After Round 20, 2026 Cronulla are -34 for net penalties, last in the NRL A swing of 55 more penalties conceded than awarded in a year...
Top/bottom 20 players for NRLW Round 3 by the Eye Test's Player Contribution Rating (ETPCR)
NRL Round 20 Top/Bottom 20 players by the Eye Test's Player Contribution Rating (ETPCR). Been a bit slack posting these lately, will try to get back on schedule.
Might have to make up a new uniform charge after last night - Daly Cherry-Evans played the final 4:05 of the Roosters win over Melbourne with a towel hanging out of the back of his shorts...
Eye Test readers already knew about the Roosters elite attacking kicking game. They take at least 2.5 more attacking kicks per game than any other team in the NRL, are first at converting them to tries
Interesting to see Brisbane attempt at least ten attacking kicks already, especially with Reynolds not 100% The Panthers only field 8.3 attacking kicks/game (those attempted inside 40m) & give up a try on just over 2% of them, by far the lowest in the NRL
Warriors Jasmin Huriwai - Grade 2 Laishon Albert-Jones - Grade 1 Maarie Puketapu - Grade 1 Bulldogs Ebony Prior - $1500 fine Alexis Tauaneai - Grade 2 Cowboys Abagail Roache - Grade 1 Makenzie Weale - Grade 1 Tigers Tara Reinke - Grade 1 Christian Pio - Grade 1 Caitlin Turnbull - $1500 fine
BREAKING - Full list of Sock Crime charges from NRLW Round 1 released Eels Abbi Church - Grade 3 Kennedy Cherrington - Grade 2 Rueben Cherrington - Grade 1 Cassey Toni-Hiku - $1500 fine Boss Kapua - $1500 fine Raiders Zahara Temara - Grade 2 Knights Yasmin Meakes - Grade 2
CORRECTION: Apparently I need to watch more Dragons games (said no one ever) as Tyrell Sloan actually wore Jordan brand boots first in Round 6 v Manly Atkinson has worn them a few times in the last month too.
Something new for #nrl Bootwatch - Dan Atkinson is the first player I've tracked in 6 seasons to wear a pair of Jordan brand boots. Specifically tonight the Jordan Tiempo Maestro Elite SE. Also note in the second image a Grade 2 Sock Crime from Tigers dummy half Josese Lanyon
Reece Walsh smartly avoiding any possible Sock Crime charges by wearing a pair of the Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 10 Elite FG in the Burgundy Crush University Red Fossil Metallic Silver colourway.
Bootwatch update: Trey Mooney is wearing his faux snakeskin $550 adidas by Wales Bonner Predator Elite boots, as identified by the Eye Test at Magic Round
Isaako was one of FIVE Dolphins to be charged with Sock Crimes. The others included Isaiya Katoa (Grade 3) Morgan Knowles (Grade 3) Tevita Naufahu (Grade 2) Connelly Lemuelu (Grade 1)
BREAKING: The Eye Test has obtained secret footage of Jamayne Isaako's in the sheds preparing his Grade 3 Sock Crime during last night's Dolphins v Roosters clash at Suncorp.
BREAKING- Two Sock Crime charges from tonight's Souths/Brisbane match: Antonio Verhoeven - Grade 2 Edward Kosi - $1500 fine
BREAKING: Tallyn Da Silva has been referred directly to the Eye Test Judiciary for his Sock Crime against Canterbury. This is Da Silva's second significant Sock Crime of the season. Two other charges from the same match: Isaiah Iongi - Grade 2 Ronald Volkman - Grade 1
Early mail is that Walsh's representatives will try to argue for a downgrade due to wearing a very clean pair of Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 10 Elite x Air Max 95 boots (as he did wearing the same jersey in 2025)
