Been making a meal of the clan rats but they are really good to practice highlights and textures on
I am in base coating hell. I found out I am not the biggest contrast paint fan so sticking to the old magics more or less on these clanrats. First 10 of 20 for the skaven spearhead. Love the details on these goons but they are way more fiddly than the Stormcast.
Lord Veritant is Done like dinner and that's a wrap on the first spearhead of the year. 1/3 through 2026 and 1/3 spearheads painted. Next up Skaven then Kruleboyz. Then I just have everything else from Skaventide + Iridan & Ionus, the remaining Dominion Kruleboyz + Skumdrekk and 2Kpts of Sororitas
No painting done today but cleaned up my whole ass work area because it was looking way too crazy. Sorted the pile of shame to boot
Calling it on the prosecutors for now. Definitely table ready. Veritant is all that's left to go. Think I will do one final all Spearhead highlight and clean up after I finish the lord Veritant. Kruleboyz showed up today tho and I still got skaven to do too so may just let it be who knows
Had like three whole hours to myself for the first time in awhile and made a good dent in my prosecutors. Base coat and washes done on everything but the wings. Even got the basing material down. I might actually get more than just the spearhead done this year.
Set up a couple of these RG351V doohickeys as an early Easter present for the kids. Not giving the rabbit any credit tho, he gets plenty of fucking oxygen around here. No this one's from Mom and Dad.

Spent this very cool day painting because I am a nobody in this declining empire. Bird Lord is good enough. Moving on to the last 4 figs in the Skaventide spearhead and the SCE half (spearhead at least) will be complete. Might take a break and paint the Skaven spearhead instead of more stormcast
Ok yeah I think I do like the wet blend base coat after all. Moved on to some didgy glazing and highlights. Good enough for Sigmar
Ringing in the New Year by trying something that I think I hate (wet blending on the knees that looks pretty wack? Or good?). Either way, its practice for Ionus and Iridan next year. Gonna try and finish my spearhead by next year at least.

Working through the Stormcast Spearhead and wrapped my first Liberators. Calling them good enough (they are not) so I can move on to bigger and better things (Lord Vigilant on Bird Horse)
