I finally have the style settled, one page shy of the end of issue #2.
Page one, panel one! Scene is set up, just have to do the poses/shots. Five scenes left to set up! After they're all set, I'll burn through the shots. That's where the most work happens, all very tedious but necessary. Then I take all the renders and turn them into finished art like this.
My monster is much prettier! www.kickstarter.com/projects/len...
@hankgreen.bsky.social I'm a disabled artist (arthrogryposis), I draw by mouth, and I drew this for you! Hope you like it! Art is how I make a living & support myself. I've had to pay my own aidcare (no Medicaid) since my partner of 30 years passed. My tip jar, if you can share: gofund.me/16b3bcf96
So I watch you every day @hcrichardson.bsky.social , and I wanted to let you know I did this listening to you! Thank you for what you do! I'm a disabled artist - I draw with my mouth - and art is how I make a living. My tip jar, if anyone wants to support my work: gofund.me/2f94f0456
Hi @mollyjongfast.bsky.social ! I'm a disabled cartoonist - I draw by mouth! I appreciate your work and wanted to share a bit of mine. :) I hope you like it! If you're willing to boost, my new tip jar is gofund.me/84f13f797 - all funds help me to survive on my own as a widowed quad. Thank you!
Hi, @gregpak.net ! I'm a disabled cartoonist, I draw with my mouth. I drew this handsome guy as a bribe in the hopes that you might boost my graphic novel, FRANKLY. It's a riff on FRANKENSTEIN as a metaphor for disability, and is loosely about my life. Thanks! <3 www.kickstarter.com/projects/len...
With the Kickstarter and promotion of Frankly coming up, it's time for new artist/author portraits! First is lines and tones only, second is full color.
Let's see who the old school game nerds are. I pick Paranoia!
Until Kickstarter reverses its new policy against adult content, I will no longer use the platform. Graphic violence is everywhere in our culture, and yet it's romance and sexuality you want to restrict? Grow a damn spine.
The flashback opening I wanted to be POV and cinematic, one long shot. The rest of the book, whether past or present, will be jigsaw pieces and missing gaps filled with black, like so.
First two pages of what will be a semi-autobio, Frankenstein-flavored story about disability and agency.
