For the "leaves", I first glue thick "clump foliage" covered in layers of fine "flock" to get low-mid-high tones again. It's all slathered on with PVA glue (fancy word for what's basically slightly watered down Elmer's glue). My family would make fun of me cause it looked like weed. 😠
Just finished up a tournament for this Lord of the Rings game I love playing! Winning a trophy for my painting, and hearing all the compliments from my friends fills me with so much joy!

I refused to die like this, like Vasquez. Rather than become cold, angry, and mean, I wanted to use my pain to become more kind... to be the partner I never had for myself. Anger and hate will ebb & flow, because you were hurt badly. Don't let that pain control your destiny, because you ARE good.
As a kid I would watch Aliens a lot, and I was always curious how Vasquez became such a badass... she went through pain, and so did I, but why was she badass and I was scared? (Cause it's a movie) But wait. It's because of how I talked to myself. "Why me, why me?!" I'd ask... ¹/³
