The young lady who was bagging groceries at the supermarket had no idea what a doggy bag is. Kids these days. Photo attached so you see why the topic came up.
We've only ever had one dog that was really freaked by the sound of fireworks. Kika was a Chow-Shepherd mix (big and fluffy!) and went ballistic when there were fireworks. It was a blessing when she lost her hearing as she got older.
I was worried about the loud fireworks scaring our dog Gracie last night. But she was fine. I was the one who was kept awake by the booming all night.
Hollywood Hills here and the sound is deafening. Counting my blessings that I have a dog who doesn’t really react to this at all. Here’s what she’s doing right now.
One of the great loves of my life was Rosie, this cute Vizsla/Pittie mix. I miss her sweet goofiness every day.

I remember that. But at least in 2026 there are some really good alternatives that use zero gas.

The market's reaction to the Luce debut announcement: A whopping -6%.
True confession: I am hooked on Rao's arrabbiata and also the carmelized onion pasta sauces. They are pricey. But occasionally my favorite market has them on sale for a really good price and I stock up. I have maybe 8 jars of it right now.
