i love to check in on X and it's Lyman Stone complaining that fertility doctors don't make people do years of other treatments before IVF, and then someone is like "what are the other treatments though" and then someone else replies with this
"why did we disappoint Mr. Wigglesworth" idk why don't I have a flying car like the Jetsons?
1) Lyman Stone has bad tweets that he should be canceled for. 2) Falling birth rates are a neutral social fact, and it is bad to produce guest essays that argue that we are in big trouble and cannot consider migration, and that the future will be so much better with "fertility renewal"
I'm sorry, what? "Why did the population stop doubling every 25 years like it was in the 18th century? Mr. Wigglesworth would be very disappointed in us!" This is not a serious person
I love it so much when the bee balm blooms and the bumblebees start visiting. It makes it feel like some things are working out.
Not to drag this person for a good point, but Christ, just say 80s kids vs 90s kids. Generations aren't real, you don't have to use them
Hard to say why, but his name is Banjo and his nickname is Lewis. Also answers to "Mr. Boy".
"I would rather never have existed than face the loss of my grandmother" is admittedly a pretty big problem, but not the kind of problem you think
I finally closed my Photobucket account and downloaded all my photos (from my long-defunct blog from when I lived in Russia), so here are some sick balalaika album covers from the burned CDs of balalaika repertoire my balalaika teacher gave me
Something I love about bike commuting is that it makes summer feel how it felt when I was a kid
Sorry I was late for our meeting, it was a very distracting commute this morning
Went to the Rachel Carson exhibit at the Beinecke this morning and was struck by a few glimpses of the population discourses happening around her
there's a teach-in tonight which I can't make unfortunately but I bet it will be great
