This is the kind of thing my family does when we encounter such signs
Beautiful morning for a run 🏃🏻♀️ Met up with a couple friends for the back half of my 6 miles
When I got the Berlin Marathon lottery email, training felt so far off… but somehow it’s already time to start pounding the pavement! First training miles in the books 🏃🏻♀️
The magnolia trees in full bloom have put some spring in our steps
Project Hail Mary: AMAZE! AMAZE! AMAZE! Just the kind of feel good escape I needed from our present timeline.
There were so many good giggles to wake up to this #Caturday morning over on #jokesters. I decided to contribute a groaner. 😆
Remember when it was shorts and tank top weather two days ago? Today I present you a real feel of 22°F + Rain and snow flurries.
Met up with Victor for a morning jog. It was really good to be able to catch up and remember her together
#InternationalWomensDay didn’t even realize this was a thing until I lived abroad. That’s how effectively it’s minimized in the U.S. Patriarchy alive and well. 😒 Anyhow, love all the magical women in my life. Let’s lift one another and rise up together 💪
SEL (Social Emotional Learning) moment from my kid’s school: an art project that says “Self Love Is Sweet.” My husband and I were saying we didn’t even hear about the concept of self-love until we were well into adulthood. The kids are gonna be all right. 💛
We didn’t make it beyond our own backyard, but the way the snow fell so artfully on this bench made me want to snap a photo ❄️
On the way out of the cruise terminal there was a big poster that said “Don’t Pack a Pest!” with various images of live animals, plants, fruits, seeds, etc. The kids were pretty alarmed that customs was telling parents to leave them behind at the border. 😜
Aikido is probably better for you anyway than a box of chocolates 😆
My almost 11-year-old got his first introduction to Magic: The Gathering last night thanks to his bestie. Be still my geeky heart. 🧙♂️✨ Looking to pick up a starter pack for him—any recommendations?
This is what a “Snow Day” looks like in NYC in 2026. Thanks a lot, Covid.
Beautiful day for a winter jog outside before the deep freeze 🥶
Our orchids always bloom around this time of year 🌸 Offering up something beautiful today—may it brighten your feed a little. #TimelineCleanse
I briefly logged into FB for the first time in ages and it served up this memory from a year ago. The guidelines haven’t changed. Still stand by my decision to stop posting to Meta platforms.
Holiday reality checks came in pairs: 👗 My trusty fancy dress said “not today, girlfriend” ⛷️ Ski rental guy had to fetch special boots for my “athletic calves.” 🫠 Motivation for my first run of the year.
Emergency rally tonight in response to ICE killing of Minneapolis protester. This one at Foley Square in NYC, but there are others happening all over the country @handsoffnyc.bsky.social
Mr 10 played Oregon Trail for the first time today and was hooked immediately. My age is telling on me but they’ve made the game a whole lot easier than the original. He only had 3/4 of his party die on his first attempt and made it all the way. I’m not even sure I ever succeeded. 🤣
Big city apartment living means no cookies for Santa. My kids wanted to make sure he knew it wasn’t an oversight. 🤣 🍪 🎅🏼 “Dear Santa, we brought you no cookies because there will be cockroaches, love — and —“
It took the whole year, but I made it to the 15lb dumbbells that I set out as my goal! It’s challenging, but doable. Giving myself a pat on the back. 🥳
It’s still coming down! The kids will be excited, maybe there will be enough to play!
Our first snowy day of the season in NYC! ❄️⛄️ View outside my window this morning from the comfort of our ancient radiator heated apartment
