Fairly happy with my progress on building an open source driver for my id card printer. Vendor output on top, my driver on the bottom (based on reverse engineering from USB packet captures; does still rely on client having vendor LUT files available for thermal/dye props)

I've been doing some historical data analysis, and I think the first time the 'sun never set' over the british empire was in 1685 with the colonisation of bengkulu by the East India Company (when it was still called the English Empire). Didn't factor in eclipses though... #history #maps
