finally reading a book for the first time in a while! motivated by my annoyance at characterisation in Hades 2 and enjoyment of Emily Wilson’s recent comments on the Nolan film. Reading The Iliad first then it’s Odyssey time

I cooked a new thing! forgot to rinse the lentils and to add the fish sauce 😭 but I know for next time
more laundry and washing up today 💪🏻 then I had za’atar scrambled eggs with peppers fried in garlic oil for tea
this weekend I also: 1. sang a song in front of other people in the pub 2. went for a walk 3. saw two peacock butterflies!
I cooked again! it was astoundingly flavourless and I made so much of it 😔 I’ll add a lot of garlic and more pancetta next time
the recipe did NOT mention taking the beans out of the skins so I’m glad I read the comments. look at the difference!
