Motion 17 is the first motion after lunch and the last motion of the day. The TUC has supported sex workers since 2010, but the bigots are trying to get us all. Sex work is work and deserves the same protection as all other work. It's not that complicated.

This next motion addresses the commercial blight of pride events. We don't need pink washing, we need action and protests and a community that is not bound to commercial interests.

The next motion calls on the TUC to connect with international LGBT communities that are under attack by the same far right Christian extremist groups. Britain's strife is not unique as fascist propaganda is spread by the fascist regime in Washington and Moscow.

Another attack from labour against our community. The speaker told us about how they were campaigning against section 28. The talked about the police surveillance they suffered. They talked about the harm it does. They talked about how things have returned to the dark age.

The TUC LGBTQIA conference is now talking about the conversion therapy ban. The new draft law is not going down well. And now after the minister pissed off everyone, the speakers are way more aggressive. Not an inch to fascists. Not an inch to the Labour party.

Evil has left after a frosty reception. This motion calls for ending the delays to trans healthcare in the UK and Ireland. I hope this transphobic minister is seething about trans people existing in the same room as her.

A labour minister is speaking to the conference about how proud she is about the progress the labour party created for LGBTQ people. I'm in a conference that talks almost exclusively about the politics of hate her party inflicted on us. No words are strong enough to express my hatred right now

This motion is highlighting the urgent need to protect LGBT people who are accessing sexual health services. LGBTQ+ people are more likely to be in poverty and lack access to support already. With the NHS and the EHRCs ongoing war on our community we must fight for safe health care and education

Emergency motion 3 (motions 1 and 2 were merged) calls for a direct urgent rejection of the current guidance. This is complementary to the first motion to deal with the immediate harm, and leaves the wider fight against the transphobic EHRC to motion 1.

Day 2 of the #TUCLgbt conference starts with the emergency motion to oppose the code of practice. Our delegates from Unite the union voted for this motion to become a policy for all the TUC unions. This is a composite motion requested by multiple unions.

Last motion for today about ensuring the unions educate all members about vaccinations for sexual health. This is a failure of the NHS we sadly have to step in to fix. Inequality makes health outcomes dependent on money and the postcode lottery. It shouldn't be like that!

Since the Forstater tribunal we have seen a systemic abuse of tribunals to attack LGBTQ and especially trans worker while protecting bigotry and transphobic and racist abusers. This motion calls to create a special meeting to improve protection for workers targeted by lawfare.

I'm here out of a series of happy accidents. I'm not here because of a clear pathway to support us to become active members of the union. How many others with better skills and more experience are left behind, never able to grow into activists. We need to do better.

I'm speaking in support of a motion that calls on the unions to train the next generation of leaders. Being a union activist means standing out. Being LGBT in a hostile workplace often means our community is not visible, not elected and pushed on the sidelines

This motion addresses the rise of hate and harassment in workplaces. It calls for coordinated action from across all unions to stand against this wave of hate together with our colleagues. We need more than words, we need mandatory reporting routes for harassment.

After the break we are now targeting the bigot rights commission. We unions don't think they are fit for purpose and no longer uphold human rights. They need to be reformed and the bigots removed and publicly opposed for the harm these people caused.

The PCS just called out the Christian Institute for the lawfare they do to silence the public sector workers. The speaker brilliantly laid out how this is a dangerous precedent blocking not just pride, but speaking out against all other oppressive actions lest it upsets the oppressors.

There's going to be the regular/usual protest in Birmingham on the 25th of May, at 3pm in front of the council house in Victoria Square, B3 3SD, for trans rights and against the EHRC, and the latest anti-immigration rhetoric of the government.
