Proud New Mexican, unapologetic liberal, documentary filmmaker and editor, ponderer of many things and trying to process what has happened to this great country. (No DMs right now due to too many randos bugging me )
An energizing #nokings protest in #Albuquerque, #Caturday, and my cat Zayda's 7th birthday, all in one day! Weirdest moment: a woman in a MAGA hat from 2016 cheering at the end of the march. "I'm a Trump voter but I like parades!" she said.
Happy Gotcha Day to this crazy mofo! 6 years together. I love you, you nut. (I was trying to get a nice pic with the purple wildflowers in my yard, but I guess the dead leaves detract a bit from the beauty.) #dogs
Somewhere along a lonely stretch of eastern New Mexico highway tonight, my Toyota Camry reached a big milestone and I realized it just in time.
Thinking of this amazing girl today, 6 years after she died. She was my best friend, maternal protector and soul mate for over 18 years. She kept me alive and saw me through many dark days, countless moves and trips across the country. Love and gratitude forever, my Mira.
Reminds me of this picture I took almost 10 years ago of my beloved cat, Mira, whom I had to say goodbye to 6 years ago today.
I realize no one sees or apparently cares about my posts, but let it be known that I have a stinking cute cat. #cats
Hanging out on my porch this morning. I hope it's a voluntary visit and not an injury. #butterfly
I just dug to the bottom of one of my kitchen drawers and I'm happy to say that if/when the apocalypse hits, my stash of Taco Bell hot sauce packets (and a few soy sauce packets) should see me through.
Happy Gotcha Day to my neurotic little sidekick, Evan! 5 years of traveling through life together...I am grateful and love you, even if you're more than I bargained for.
Happy Caturday! (My camera roll indicates that I might be a little obsessed with my cat.)
