have you at all considered the possibility that Elissa Slotkin is not actually a "rock star candidate"
I mean the problem with a WelcomePAC para-party organization is that they'd never actually win any races because they'd spend all their time targeting seats like this
Like if Becky Pepper-Jackson threatens "fairness in sports" but this doesn't the concept is nonsense
Hick tied in Denver, which probably means he wins if true. Still good for Gonzales though imo
According to Singal, the guy who described his clinical practices like this "didn't do conversion therapy"
And despite all that they are still somehow smarter than the Searchlight crowd. Centristworld's electoral strategy consists entirely of promising obviously impossible things in transparent bad faith
lifetimes of damaging medication are actually something we're okay with all the time
It was a five-way race and nobody else was good at fundraising. If those are the circumstances AIPAC-backed Dems need to win, that is not a good sign for them!
We're going to see a lot of takes from Very Smart Pundits soon about how tonight didn't matter because NYC is deep blue. I'd like to point out before those takes start coming in that NYC had some of the most severe 2020-2024 rightward shifts in the whole country:
These are some of the worst poll results Jared Golden has ever gotten. Jumping to the explanation that he was forced out by an intransigent left is convenient for a certain narrative but it's not clear that it fits the facts.
Klein's bit about Jared Golden is really weird. I don't think he retired because Matt Dunlap started a primary campaign, I think he retired because he was polling horribly.
You could house-of-lords-ify the Senate, as described here: harvardlawreview.org/print/vol-13...
