Marcelline loves it when Astarion remembers small things she has said or done, like things she enjoys in passing, and then he brings it up at a later date. She loves feeling important in his mind as he is in hers.

Marcelline had her 1st kiss as a young girl with a drow boy her age. They did this in secret for years. As they grew, so did their affection for each other. Eventually, her mother found out & had Lolth curse him to become a drider. Imagine her sorrow when she saw him again in the shadow cursed lands
