9. Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter Music, art, battle system all on point. Intriguing story though the slow burn was a little too slow at times, and the whole Joshua/Estelle thing makes me uncomfortable. Other than that I had an absolute blast! I will be seated for 2nd Chapter!

8. A Short Hike I wanted a short little palate cleanser with a summer vibe and that's exactly what I got. Cute as heck and very enjoyable.
Our sweet Mr. Obi probably has dementia; We've suspected it for a while, vet pretty much confirmed it. We're devastated but we'll do our best to make him as happy and comfortable as possible, as we always do.
7. The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales I thought this was aggressively okay, which isn't necessarily a bad thing - okay is still good - but I was expecting more. I was going to go for the true ending but I already wanted to put the game down at that point. Disappointing.
6. Pokémon Snap Never owned an N64 as a kid, no nostalgia for this game whatsoever. I wanted something short and chill and this fit the bill perfectly. There's not much to it and the courses do get stale quickly but it's still cute and fun.
5. Vampire Crawlers Another highly addictive Poncle joint. He can't keep getting away with it etc.
4. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Surprisingly good story, engaging cast of characters, really fun gameplay loop, and I don't know what everyone's problem is but Rudy is adorable. A must-play if you enjoy JRPGs/monster-catching games.
3. Pokémon Pokopia This was only marginally on my radar, then I ended up in hospital for 2 weeks and had a long recovery after. That's when I jumped in and it turned out to be the perfect game at the time I needed it most. 155 hours and I'm only just slowing down.
2. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Fun job system, looks gorgeous, very approachable for DQ/JRPG newcomers. I did feel like they cut a little too much, def needed to be streamlined but pacing felt odd to me as a result? Still loved it, though.

Got moved to a ward the other night (which is in an older, considerably dingier building) but this is my view. This is day 8 and mentally I'm just tired of all this. My problems persist while I'm in here and I feel a little dejected. Been listening to a lot of Deftones and staring out the window 😅

I met Greg Martin at the card show today, who is the man responsible for so much iconic Sonic art from the 90s. We chatted for a little bit and I even told him all about my childhood fear of Robotnik, which made him reflect that he might have 'gone too hard' back then with his design 😅

1. Octopath Traveler 0 110 hours, true ending achieved. Having an 8 character party was dope! I loved most of this game but the final arc was excessively long. I also HATED being forced to recruit a character who was genuinely evil; It made no sense. iykyk.
