I have loved the Scarlet Pimpernel books since I found him in my Christmas stocking when I was 14, so I felt slightly apprehensive when I started reading this. I needn’t have worried - it is brilliant! Thank you @genevievecogman.bsky.social for giving me more of his adventures to enjoy!
When I realised I’d read the first two of these in order (unplanned), I purposely picked the third to read.
Finding this difficult to put down - sadly I have to do this thing called “work”.
The annexe at the health centre is in a different time zone. Photo taken at 12:55 today.
Reading this ahead of the next @svhpodcast.bsky.social episode. Also a comment on today’s weather!
Going on a brief excursion from the Shire to Hundred Acre Wood for a smackerel.
I’m reading refugee stories, which I bought last week, not realising this week is #RefugeeWeek.
Set in 2024-2027, published in 1993 - some parts of it feel scarily possible today!
Reading this on your recommendation. I was extremely reluctant to put it down to go to sleep last night and today’s to-do list might be suffering!
Looking at my reading list, I realised I recently read The Truth by Terry Pratchett and a few books later, The Whole Truth by David Baldacci, so obviously I now have to read this!
This is the first book I’ve read from my @bertsbooks.bsky.social Best of 2025 subscription and it is excellent. My expectation for the rest of the books is now very high! 📚
