Author, father, retro-gamer, ancient Sonic fan, occasional funny person. I post as often as social anxiety allows. NEW BOOK: The Neonnis Knights: The White Knight and the Technosiah out now!
... Now, I'm not saying I built a shelf around my living room to display my amiibo collection. I am saying I have a very understanding wife who also likes these things, and a brother in law who knows how to build shelving.
I feel like every time my character loses in Champions, they look like they're trying to recreate a Simpsons meme.
Man, I don't get annoyed when folks try to scam me. That's expected on the Internet. What annoys me is when there isn't any effort put in. If you're going to try to fuck me, buy me lunch at least.
Ah, nothing like editing a manuscript from a nanowrimo 3 years ago. Screw you, past me. I mean you're right, but also what am I supposed to do with this?
What happens when a duty-bound techno knight and a douchebag tech genius go looking for a child of prophecy? Find out in The Neonnis Knights: The White Knight and the Technosiah available now on all the places I could post it at. Links here: llbryant.ca/books
Quick reminder: I've got a book coming out tomorrow. Link in bio. Other note: like my last book, even though this one has less of a video game focus, has the following image in the first few pages.
Oh man, this is where I'm a viking! Aurealis, the duty-bound techno knight? Kingambit, armored and loyal. Vertigo, the alchemist frienemy? Toxtricity, chill 90% of the time, but toxic. Zane, the man who taught the world how to make toasters? Malamar. He likes the hair and doesn't see the danger.
How would I describe the relationship between Neonnis Knight Aurealis and General Vertigo in my upcoming book found at llbryant.ca/books? Something like this:
I made this for fun, but actually debated for a while* if I should use this as the cover for The White Knight and the Technosiah. *a while = 0.05 seconds. Pretty sure I'd get sued to hell and back, and I'm too broke for that shit.
Aw yea. I'm part of the cool kids club. Captain Drippy Phone hates me too!
Upcoming book cover reveal? Sure, twist my arm. I'm actually really happy with how this one came out.
Cleaning out an old box and came across something unexpected. Will I be part of the cool kid's table now?
My kid's school is having a reading week event. Looks like they didn't proof read their own promo slop about it. Look kid, I buoke a dangle often too, but not enough to put it on a shirt.
These days, when I go into the office, my first thought is "Ha Ha. I'm in danger."
Look, I'm not really doing the whole nanowrimo thing this year. That said, I do feel like I pavlov'd myself into writing when Halloween wraps up though, so I started a thing. I don't have a word count goal or anything, it's a first draft of somehting with an outline. Still, it's something.
I have never seen a more bold 'dance on your grave' moment. Nanwrimo died defending ProWritingAid's use of AI (among other things), and they turn around and do this? I'm actually impressed at how audacious this is.
