I still do podcasts, for some reason Miss you forever, brother @jeremygreer.bsky.social
Said goodbye to my tiny baby boy Sully today. We’ve been together 20 years, which is a lot longer than most people get with their cats. I’ve had him since I was a teenager! I’ll miss him dearly and I’m really lucky for all the time I had with him.
I just recorded the 1st episode for the next game I’ll be covering after FFVIII. I think I’ll announce what it is during the feedback episode 👀 If you have thoughts or feelings to share about FFVIII send them to me and I’ll include them in the episode! Unless you’re really mean, then maybe I won’t
I have recoded at least 14 hours of podcasts about Final Fantasy VIII and now I am finally done. I enjoyed the process and I learned a lot, though I’m not sure that anyone needs to listen to 14 hours of someone talking about FFVIII. Thank you anyway to anyone who’s been along for the ride 🫡😭❤️
Man, Tower Dungeon is so good. Such a simple premise but it works perfectly and the atmosphere is incredible and the characters keep defying expectations. I know comparing things to dark souls is the most annoying thing you can do but this manga just really captures that exact dark fantasy feeling.
Romeo is a deadman was great, and I’m currently playing FFVIII again for the podcast, but just this weekend I finally finished Castlevania Symphony of the Night, a game I bounced off of a few times in my life, but when it finally clicked, oh man did it click. Totally worthy of the praise. 10/10
Seasonal depression has been hitting hard but I have spent the last month capital G GAMING. Some old games, some short games, but it’s been real uplifting to actually start and finish something.
I finished Romeo is a Deadman! It’s a pretty rad game that I didn’t understand at all. It gets a little long in the tooth by the end, and some of what makes it interesting starts to slow it down, but overall it’s weird and fun and probably worth your time if you like things that are weird and fun!
It’s time to finally finish disc 1 of Final Fantasy VIII www.patreon.com/posts/final-...
I’ve wanted to try getting back into some sort of podcast series. Still feeling lost at sea on my own, but I figured starting with my favorite video game might help to get me moving again. I’m starting episode 3 now (only made it to Timber so far 😬) and I’ve got a looooong way to go.
Finally working on something new 👀 and I just recorded an episode on the first issue of the new Supernatural comic that should be out this week. Feels weird to talk about the hunks without Jeremy, but I’m glad I gave it a shot.
Playing Lord of the Rings: The Third Age for PS2 on a giant CRT because who even cares anymore
Officially finished FFXIV Stormblood. Considering I bought it in 2017, this has been a long time coming. I’m afraid it’s peak, and no one even likes Stormblood so I can only imagine how much better it will get.
If you see this QRT with your favorite Final Fantasy games. 4th slot could have gone to XIV or tactics but I’ve been thinking about IV a lot lately so I had to go with that.
Game 11: Clair Obscur Expedition 33. One of the best games I’ve ever played. When I was a kid this is what I imagined the future of Final Fantasy would look like. What a great experience. I got the platinum trophy but this game is just too fun not to do a new game plus run.
Game 10: Star Wars Outlaws. The internet made this game seem terrible but I had a lot of fun with it. It certainly has its issues, but the attention to detail and clear love of SW carried me through, and sticking to the main story meant it didn’t overstay its welcome. Also the soundtrack kicks ass
