I want to point out that these comically large ‘Right Turn Only’ signs have been here for several years. This was plainly illegal before the curbs were put in.
This is imprecise but it’s something like this. Through traffic crossing Ashland was already illegal but people were ignoring it. Crosswalks are clear to walk and roll through and there is now a pedestrian island on the north. Basically the same thing that they did at Ashland and Cornelia already.
Y’all they’re installing a traffic diverter and pedestrian refuge island at Ashland and Sunnyside to prevent cars from illegally crossing Ashland, making illegal southbound left turns. I rallied my neighborhood group to support this and last I heard from the Alder’s office CDOT wasn’t moving on it…
We should also be talking more about how good Jessica Ever is at this. Also she’s a cool as fuck person that I’m proud to be friends with.

This post, along with the way he bullied and harassed a father who lost his child to a traffic fatality made it clear to me that there is something deeply, unreasonably wrong with him.
Also you can’t see it in John’s screenshot but the cyclist looks to be pretty far from the bike and still on the ground. He might appear okay but adrenaline is a hell of a drug.
Nothing quite like standing on sections of sidewalk that would’ve been in the street just a few weeks ago, but now are bus bulbs. Exhilarating really.
