#lonbooks2026 8) A Magical Girl Retires I finished this in one sitting at the library... Honestly faster than I was expecting! The pace didn't seem to really hamper the story though. It had a lot of heart, but like 50 more pages to let it breathe would have been great.

4) The Eyes Are The Best Part the racial tensions of Bat Eater but instead of paranoia about the world, it's paranoia about no longer being the model minority. Gross but not the bits with the eyeballs... I can see how the ending was disappointing for some but also hear me out: it was so based lmao
