My little Shadow would have been 14 today. 😭 It has been a hard 9 months on both Mana and me, but we are thriving with our new normal.

I went to a Disney inspired wedding last weekend. Double Disney shirts with a kilt, perfect.
My phone was kind enough to remind me, it has been 12 years since my Sheba passed beyond the veil (or over the rainbow bridge, if you like).
Just a bit of walking -- but it was a super fun trip. Especially because my chosen family always makes it the best adventure.
Mana sporting doggles at the vet's office. No shits given because the nurse was feeding her loads of treats. 🤣
Trimmed and cleaned up a bit. And the barber didn't give me crap for going to summer length.

Dinner with very close friends last night, then we went off to a concert. Even the buckets of rain when we got out couldn't dampen the fun.

Date night started off rough, but I did find a good meal at 1865 SLO. The bonus was the waiter was this very cute cub. 😍
Shadow has come home. The candle is lit to remind her where home is as she crosses into the beyond. Her journey is complete. We will see her again.
Mana and I are starting to find our new normal. She has come to enjoy dragging me around the block in the morning. Her "hurry the fuck up and stop taking my picture" look says it all.
The sun has risen and set, the first full day without Shadow. I light this candle so she can find her way home.
