Watching "The Burbs" for the first time ... I was a kid in the 90s but I grew up in a bit of a strange town so am having a hard time remembering ... is this just what "average middle class" looked like? Would these folks have been considered upper middle-class? Because right now this is WEALTH
This is killin' over on threads I don't want to have to start posting more on the other place but I'm just a girl trying to have outreach. Still, Bluesky ... it's just nicer here 🥺
My 5-year-old: Do you know this place JAPAN? Me: I do. Mommy and daddy lived there, have we told you that yet? 5-year-old's literal face:
"I asked ChatGPT - " Oh, well I asked Rosemary and she said she's trying to be supportive but she has her qualms.
Look, Jack was a ginormous, over-reacting asshole but sometimes when the only thing I want to do is write and there is another phone call, another ask, another request, another interruption, I understand this level of frustration in my BONES
Once upon a time, the waters of Nova Scotia/New Brunswick were far too cold for Great White Sharks. Oh, how we'd chuckle at concerned southern tourists setting foot into the Bay of Fundy. Not on these shores, not here. Oh, how we'd laugh ...
Our lovely lady Ripley has suddenly gotten sick. We have a vet appointment scheduled. If you have any spare good hopes and vibes, we'd love those 🖤
The absolute whiplash of watching Matthew Rhys in THE BEAST IN ME after finishing WIDOW'S BAY. The man has range.
My son is visiting his grandparent's for a few days. Newt, who always follows my son around like a puppy, has been sleeping on his bookbag ever since. He never does this, usually curls on a chair or couch. I think someone misses his boy 🥹
Scraping down the front step for a new coat and painting the front doors. Steps we own, a door we own. I've got free time and the weather is nice. Never tell me this isn't It ❤️
Hope I'm reading this right, because this jingle has also been in my head the last two weeks, haha
Was recently returned this painting I did for my grandmother upon her passing. I was sixteen when I did this; I more or less stopped painting soon after because my paintings were "just okay" "don't really look real." What!? God, I want to go back tell her/everyone photorealism isn't the only thing!
I really need to actually utilize my wardrobe & put together an outfit more because
In 2019, CBC released a show called "Cavendish" that honestly feels like a test run for "Widow's Bay." It did not have the budget and it is definitely more comedy with the 'horror' only been parodies of horror but it deserves a little love. (clips below - basically Widow's Bay from a visitor's POV)

Ah, of course. My 7am cold call from New York Times #1 bestselling YA author of the POWERLESS trilogy Lauren Roberts. Because why the hell not. (My favourite part is AI complimenting itself, with the Gemini reply prompt suggesting "Beautiful poem.")
The type of feedback from editors that I live for (more news on what this is later! 👀)
I loved this sequence in 'Snow White' so much as a child; the number of times I tried to get a glass of orange juice struck by lightning cannot be reckoned. I still adore her. Underrated Diva.
