The replacement 0-6-0 locomotive is here, has had it's running in unladen forward and reverse runs, and now I have it happily chugging along with its passenger coaches.

Though thanks to a fortuitous bit of timing, not for long, as the engine I was importing from Britain was waiting in my mailbox, so I got a few laps in. Not shown here, the multi-hour power outages between stages 1 & 2 as well as 3 & 4. (4/4)

My cat, the aptly named Goblin took a swipe at the train, knocking the locomotive off the table, and severing the tender. Leaving me without an engine. (3/4)

A day or so later, the coaches for the locomotive to pull arrived, and I was able to get quite a few laps in before... (2/4)

More of the #modelTrain stuff. First, very pleased to be able to fit a small loop on my WFH desk, complete with the "test mule" 0-6-0 running on it. It did attract the cat's attention. (1/4)

Playing with #AnyRail layouts. Nothing fully thought out, 3 N scale, 1 HO.

The one layout that I might actually build

A layout designed to fit on my folding table and be capable of running multiple trains.

A layout at a much larger scale, much of which is designed to be hidden. It's to fit around Contention City station from the 2007 remake of 3:10 to Yuma.

A silly layout based around the idea of transit in the Tokyo-3 GeoFront from Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? I had a very "dad movie week" inadvertently themed around trains. First up a WW2 movie where the action looks real because IT WAS. No miniatures or camera trickery. 2 gritty Westerns showing the genre evolving, and a cheeky British crime caper.

My first train (that won't be part of the final layout) arrived, so I laid out the Keto Unitrack oval, and ran a few laps under the watchful eye of my cat.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched? Finished out the trilogy I forgot I owned on Google Play, rewatched the best comedy of the 21st Century after the England loss, and finished up by rewatching what might be the first R rated movie I ever saw. Rutger Hauer was so creepy.
