along those lines i thought Space Force was dead on arrival. I'm sorry but "Space Force" as a concept isn't funny, at least not any funnier than Air Force. and much of the writing was far stupider than what they were trying to parody, so who's the real idiot?
*ten hours into researching a new TV to buy* "oh thank god this one has good PQ EOTF tracking. don't even talk to me if your 600 nit tracking delta is over 0.0017."
navigation is way better. GPS is an amazing invention and the fact that i can go to a small foreign city in Italy and pull up a full bus route, with timings, from the train station to my hotel is just incredible.
i only needed a thing of crushed tomatoes so arguably the Ram Space Occupier could be carrying more (two things of crushed tomatoes).
sometimes i just can't believe wolfram is getting away with mathematica. it is utterly baffling to the average user. i tried to format a variable with a clever little top-left superscript. and... i think i should just quit my job now. like that broke my script apparently forever.
i always love when a parade rolls past my apartment and it was amazing celebrating the Stanley Cup win with my fellow Raleighites! #SoundTheSiren #Canes
bitch what "value" you just made this shit up. it doesn't have value. it does nothing.
not a big deal, just the largest lifted truck ever to exist fast rolling thru a stop late at night in a quiet neighborhood to save the driver maybe 0-10 seconds by cutting in front of me.
i got to enjoy a few minutes in this spot on the left yesterday afternoon in 90 F heat. the stop going the other way has a shelter but now i think of it... i don't think there's a bus that runs that direction! rofl at NC State's Centennial campus.
this is a really nuts sense evolution, Italian i just heard the line, spoken by an infatuated character, "la sua pelle é morbida" - "her skin is morbid" rofl
omg i think we made it for #folkhorrorfriday! just off a binge of Nashville (GREAT show) we've got Witchmaster General and I'm already a huge fan of this FBI warning
City Nerd has said you can tell a lot about a city's transit priorities by looking at their sports arena and yeah Lenovo Center says it all. acres of parking and nothing else.
now that I'm 37 I've gained the wisdom to look inward and realize that what my life is missing is I'm not using my powers of Swim and Run to kill strangers.
me: *knows everything about Green Day* crossword: "Mo. in a Green Day title" me:
maybe this is naive but i like my Coros watch because i feel like the company is not evil. like, I've turned off the gesture-based light, but at 10:30pm the light turns on to tell me sleep mode has activated lol. but it just feels like a dumb mistake instead of enshittification.
I'm in a similar boat; here's my view. what i think sucks is that even though this looks like not that much traffic, there's basically *always* the sound of a car rolling by. it is omnipresent. (and we get people with modified engines blasting dBs for fun, wrecking all our health)
"the average urban auto commuter lost 63 hours stuck in traffic in 2024" lol what a fucking massive L. cagers are fucking cooked.
Google Maps *still* tells pedestrians to cross at one of the demonstrably *most dangerous* crossings in Raleigh, where people have been hit and killed. why does any city allow Google this kind of deadly power?
we once accidentally unearthed the giant larva of one of these beasties at a campsite somewhere in Maryland. we've been terrified of them ever since! 😂
