I think it’s safe to say that my little emergency foster kitten has relaxed enough. She now in full predator mode.🤣 #kitten #foster

Eliza, a 6-7 month old kitten is sprawled on top of a fabric off-white fabric laundry basket with grey border piping, in the process of ‘killing’ its rope handle, holding it between her paws and looking back at the camera with a fearsome look, baring her teeth. Behind her is a white radiator and below the basket there’s a wooden floor just showing, and the top of a paper pack of toilet roll. Her body has definite Bengal markings, seemingly mixed with tabby.

My little emergency foster has had her breakfast, but now she’d like some of mine. #kittens #foster

A 6-7 months foster kitten, a tabby/bengal mix probably, tries to put her little face in a pale green cereal bowl. Her little triangular face has an expression of deep interest in the content of my bowl, but slightly timid at the same time. One of my fingers is just about visible, holding the bowl, and in the background we see a white towel over a radiator, a white duvet, and my feet in stripy socks poking out, stretched on the sofa where both of us are lounging on.

Tomas is wearing a skin tight costume, I think it’s Spider-Man, I’m not sure, I’m perspiring profusely. He’s standing sideways to the camera but twisting his body à la Donatello statue, so that we see his face but also his trunk-like legs and his powerful glutes shrink-rapped in the shiny blue Lycra. Is it really hot in here? 🥵

Yay, Pride Month! #PrideMonth 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ #AltText

The intersex inclusive Progress Pride flag.
It consists of the 1978 Gilbert Baker’s rainbow flag with stripes, top to bottom: red (life), orange (healing), yellow (sunlight), green (nature), blue (peace/harmony/art), violet (spirit).
To the left 5 more stripes arranged around a yellow triangle pointing to the left with a purple circle in it.
From the triangle going to the right:
Yellow triangle with purple circle (intersex community), white pink and blue (trans community), brown and black stripes (people of colour)
The addition of the black and brown stripes was made in 2017 by the Philadelphia's Office of LGBT Affairs. In 2018 Daniel Quasar rearranged the brown and black stripes as arrows pointing to the right, adding the white pink blue stripes to represent marginalised people of colour in the LGBTQ+ community, as well as the trans community, and those living with HIV/AIDS, creating the Progress Pride Flag.
In 2021, Valentino Vecchietti of Intersex Equality Rights UK, shared an updated version to the Progress Pride flag, which included the yellow triangle and purple circle to represent the intersex community.

This cup features the earliest surviving representation of the Circe episode in Greek art. Homer recounts that Odysseuss companions turned into swine, but here (as on the kylix above) the artist has enlivened the scene by portraying them as a varied assortment of animals-lion, chicken, horse, dog, panther, goat.

When Odysseus's crew arrived at the palace of the sorceress Circe (cup in hand), she fed them a drug. laced mash of barley, cheese, and honeyed wine.
Then, with a wave of her wand, she transformed them into swine. Here the painter compresses the story into one dynamic image: Circe's potion is taking effect, and the men morph into a range of animals, even as they drink. Only skeptical Eurylochos, at far right, abstained; he's off to tell Odysseus, who now enters at left, sword drawn. Notice how the shape of Circe's cup mirrors the shape of this cup —perhaps a warning to the user about the dangers of too much drink.
