Labour vowed to set up GB Energy’s HQ in Aberdeen, where it would create up to 1000 jobs, and that it would save £350 on energy bills 22 months later and there’s no HQ, just 30 permanent staff (many of them based in London) and energy bills have just risen yet again

Why do we even care about GB Energy? 💡 It’s been nearly two years since Labour took power – and the promise of GB Energy was a key element of the party’s Scottish campaign

Scottish activist Hughie Stirling has been detained while taking part in the Global Sumud Flotilla 🚨 Ahead of interception he said: 'I can only hope that by doing this some other ordinary people will also act to put an end to this slaughter of innocent civilians'

We haven't been able to make contact with Owen Richardson Okie, but we understand his boat was damaged during the attacks overnight, and he is currently being towed by one of the flotilla's support vessels More than 180 activists have been detained so far

Hughie Stirling, 68, is also sailing on. I've just spoken with him, and he said he is 'aghast' at the attack but is determined to sail on Activists are now moving closer to Greek waters, where they hope they will not be attacked again

Bryn Higgs, 61, has been detained by Israel. His whereabouts are currently unknown I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago and he said the aim of the flotilla is to 'draw the world's attention to the crime that's being committed' by Israel in Gaza
