What excitement looks like in your 40s: a limited edition menthol lozenge 😅 (They're pretty nice)
It's actually my first time using Liverpool Central Library to write, but it's definitely not going to be my last 😁
Stomping about sunny Liverpool all in black, no regrets! Time to find somewhere good to do some more redrafting...
A strange writing tool, but one I find compelling... Hour glasses, making sure I'm spending minimum amounts of time on projects in style 😉
An impulse purchase that became a prophecy! Time to start planning ahead... If you want to see what goes on these? There's going to be a Patreon soon. No big fancy tiers, minimum expected (it all helps), it's going to be a productivity diary for the curious or a place to chuck some coffee money 🙂
Latest research batch! Expect a Chesterfield folklore podcast in the near future...
TWIMST! We've headed over to Chesterfield for an explore and lunch out 😁
Latest from the new t-shirt pile feels pretty "me", and is a fun choice for my last day at the day job for a while (a lot more on THAT later).
Continuing working through new t-shirts, this time it's a cute Cat Guide To Coffee 😺
Another new t-shirt has been deployed. What's this mood, passive aggressive whimsy? 😛
Birthday sorted! Time for a Hellraiser binge... Including the working cut of Revelations, getting to see what it could have been before studio notes clobbered it 😁
I once again will not even be bothering to attempt to do up my high vis as we set up for the Birmingham UKGE 😛
Obsession is a movie that lives up to its hype! A well realised nightmare scenario that has more layers to it than the trailers tip you off, beautifully shot and acted. Well worth a trip out 😁 It's pretty tense viewing, but that's all part of the fun 😉
Hokum is a wonderfully strange and dark movie with some great folkloric twists. It may veer a little too dark for some, it touches upon suicide and tragic deaths that can hit harder than the more fantastical events... 1/2
Saros has now been unleashed upon the world, and is getting great reviews! I had quite an odd QA journey on this Title, it's something I'm incredibly proud to have worked on 😁
A very strange movie I enjoyed quite a lot 😁 It seems like liminal space horror is going to be "in" this year. I expect Backrooms will go bigger, but Exit 8 has its charms. Worth catching if strange is your speed.
I caught 2:22 A Ghost Story at the Liverpool Empire Theatre, and had a lot of fun! It's definitely worth catching on stage if you can, if you can't there's probably an inevitable screen adaptation in its future 👻
Ambulatory blood pressure monitor today, while trying to finish up sorting my mum's old council house. It's one of those days ☠️
A gloriously bonkers movie that hides just how demented it is. Trust me, the trailers undersell this. If violent chaos is your thing? Highly recommended!
A show that warns you up front 😛 I felt it dipped after a mid point twist worked something like a false climax, stealing all momentum. But it picks back up again for an impressive finale! Well worth watching. Unless you're squeamish about blood, anyway...
I'm finally getting around to finishing Cobra Kai, 2 episodes left. It is an incredibly dumb show... And I kind of love it 🤣
On my way home now, but Tenerife was interesting! I definitely want to come back for a proper break 😊
It seems yesterday when I went for a walk I managed to just miss the city centre of Adeje, which is impressive and quite typical for me 😛 Now to work out getting to San Eugenio...
Cold Storage is pretty damn good! A solid idea, probably helped by being a novel that was adapted into a screenplay by its author, that's a really fun watch I would absolutely recommend for a trip to the cinema. 1/2
A reminder to everyone that Everything Everywhere All At Once is awesome 💜
The Lancashire archives in Preston are a strange, but interesting, building!
