Meant to post this yesterday, but - Hey, @metrotransitmn.bsky.social - kudos to your worker who stopped his vehicle IN THE STREET (where cars go) instead of in the bike lane (where bikes go)! I stopped and thanked him.

Metro Transit maintenance vehicle stopped on Hennepin Ave while worker attends to the bus stop. The bike lane remains clear and passable without hazard.

An enjoyable #WorldBicycleDay to all who celebrate!

The bicycle has a a front basket (the better to carry lunch back from Kramarczuk's!) and bright blue handgrips on the Surly Moloko handlebars. A white helmet hangs from the bike seat and a BikeMN casquette hangs from GPS mount on the handlebars.

I used the new bikeway to go south from Franklin to 26th the other day (for the first time - going south I usually just ride on Hennepin itself) - auto users turning right onto Hennepin from side streets and entrances also straight up block the bikeway...
