Saw a band at Mississippi Studios last night called Arc Iris and they were wonderfully strange and awesome. Recommend.
More of my iPhone photos from today’s 49th eruptive episode at Kilauea. A tremendous experience. Ending the day with a watch of Fire of Love ❤️ ❤️🔥
Got to see a so-called volnado above Kilauea today. In Hawaiian, they are called puahiohio — or whirlwinds. Per USGS: "In meteorological terms, these small twisters are technically dust devils, or more precisely, ash devils, tephra devils, or lava devils, depending on the debris involved."
My #letterboxd #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #filmsky Thoroughly enjoyed Obsession. Simple premise but very effective, and a fun theater experience. Also Death to Smoochy is a classic — a hilarious takedown of capitalism and corporate greed. Love it. Why critics hated it so much, IDK.
Lastly, after reading about one of the repo car businesses that WSJ featured…. honestly Repo Man’s depiction of operations isn’t that far off. Jesus Christ. I suppose it’s not surprising since he says he based the depiction on real repo excursions.
Oops! forgot to post my #letterboxd #lastfourwatched #letterboxdfriday #filmsky Lots of goodies. I absolutely adored the wind that shakes the barley. A phenomenal depiction of what it means to live, and to die, standing by your convictions
I am so late to the game but have finally abandoned Spotify. I would just siphon off my husband’s paid account, and completely hijacked his Spotify wrapped at the end of 2025 (See photo). I migrated to Apple Music though, and so far it’s not terrible.
Now watching: The Keep, a horror/scifi directed by Michael Mann. Very under the radar movie based off of an even more obscure novel. Husband and I both read the book — which is very anti-fascist! — and really enjoyed it. The movie doesn’t have good reviews, but still has a cult following … #filmsky
This story is so sad, and expected after the bill. I don’t understand what they expect people to do to fulfill the work requirements when jobs are much harder to get right now, even for the most experienced people. Why should someone have to wait hours explain a birthday gift? We live in hell.
My #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched. up on deck is the wind that shakes the barley. We’ve been watching more tv lately though, including the pitt (excellent), derry girls (also great), and widow’s bay (surprisingly awesome new Apple TV horror comedy, highly recommend!)
The Bagdad marquee from last night. I hadn’t seen a movie there for a long time. It was nice to be back.
Absolutely lovely day at the Oregon coast today. 10/10. Oswald West State Park is one of the first places on the coast I ever visited before moving here, and it still has the best vibes.
Anyway here‘s my sweet angel baby girl who got multiple walks, a pup cup, and dog park playtime today. 🌞☀️🐾
My @letterboxd.social last four watched is a snapshot of my brain coping with moving into our new house. I was not expecting the excellence that was Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. That was phenomenal and my 5/5 is very firm/serious. #letterboxdFriday #lastfourwatched #filmsky
The final photo of my pup in this backyard, right before we finished moving out
I just rewatched FernGully for the first time since I was a child and omg Hexxus is so fucking metal
I’m not a law expert but this email from Bank of America sounds kind of insane? I opted out, but lots of people tend to ignore these types of emails. “You may not be able to have any claims you have against us resolved by a jury or in a court of law” #consumerrights @nclc4consumers.bsky.social
My #letterboxdfriday #lastfourwatched! It’s been a little slow for movie watching lately in between packing boxes but we do have a lot of exciting movies we have tix for in the next few weeks!
Suspiria (1977) I am still incredibly grateful that I got to see Claudio Simonetti/Goblin perform the soundtrack live with the movie at Hollywood Theatre a few years ago. It was a blast!!!!
This story is bonkers yall, and insanely frustrating. I cannot wait for this administration to end and for sane people to be back in charge of the Department of the Interior.
