Welcome to the Bike Pup Party! It’s so fun once you get the hang of it. We went for the Maxine 1 too, esp bc our chi-husky-pit mix has insanely long legs that just didn’t work w the K9 Sport Sack. The one downside, at least on the one we bought, is the shoulder straps are really uncomfortable.

Correct, but Spock’s book was published in 1948, so it had been shaping parenting methods for a generation at that point. The main criticism of Spock from the reactionary right was that his teachings resulted in “permissive parenting”—which was specifically called out on a cover of DtD.
