Thoughtful, slightly salty, and very cozy—this becatted bisexual librarian finds happiness in books, cats, puzzles, and other good generic fun. Seeks to follow fellow enthusiasts.
If only my vegetable garden looked half as good as the garden in this puzzle ... Name: Countryside Harvest Artist: Bex Parkin Manufacturer: Good Puzzle Co. (Galison) Pieces: 500 Dimensions: 20 inches by 20 inches #PuzzleSky #JigsawPuzzle
I'm the only one who used "onagers?" Clearly, you all didn't have a childhood obsession with Swiss Family Robinson.
Perfect—pangram first, clean plate, no hints. I have never had a Smush score this high before and I can't imagine doing better. www.hankgreen.com/smush/
Reasonably sure this hydrangea is Proven Winners' Let's Dance Big Easy (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Berner'). The big clusters of soft pink flowers with creamy centers are quite lovely. #bloomscrolling
Actually cooking from my shelves. "Brown Rice Cowboy Caviar Salad" from Greta Podleski's Every Salad Ever with marinated baked boneless chicken thighs. Doubled the seasonings and added a splash of chipotle sauce.
Finally, there's "Go With The Flow" by Melineige Beauregard from Hawaii, USA which is just WOW. The bubbles, the foam. Again, the level of detail is astonishing. How does it all stay in place?
And then there's this steampunk cat, Puss N' Bolts, by Karen Jean Fralich from Ontario, Canada. Such a smug looking kitty. Love the catnip contraption!
Here's "Spiritual Affinity" by Dmitry Klimenko of St. Petersburg, Russia. Check out that little owl, the textures of the figures' robes and hair. Smashing.
Pretty stone house with pink climbing roses growing from a bed of creamy roses, pink digitalis, and purple cranesbill.
I did it, I built #LEGO Botanical Collection: 11505 Woodland Mushrooms! Biggest, fiddliest build I've ever done and I occasionally found myself wishing for longer, slenderer fingers. Now in the glass-fronted corner cabinet, where the cats cannot possibly get at it.
The rhododendrons seem to be having a particularly beautiful spring. #bloomscrolling
Too wet to garden, so I built some flowers—LEGO Botanicals Mixed Flowerpot (40762).
Name: Colorful Harvest Artist: Tracy Flickinger Manufacturer: Ceaco Pieces: 300 Dimensions: 24 inches by 18 inches #PuzzleSky #JigsawPuzzle
Found two little mushrooms in the midst of my clover-y lawn. I've taken to calling them Father Latour and Father Vaillant for no greater reason than I recently read Death Comes for the Archbishop.
Name: Daisy's Flower Shop Artist: Katie Daisy Manufacturer: Werkshoppe Pieces: 100 Dimensions: 20.32 cm x 25.4 cm #PuzzleSky #JigsawPuzzle

In an effort to Make Better Choices, I've been puzzling instead of scrolling. "Nature's Best Sellers" by Katie Daisy for Werkshoppe. Daisy's whimsical artwork depicts a stack of vintage-style nature-themed books surrounded by bees, butterflies, flowers, and a goldfinch.
More mushrooms from the carpark. Possibly the same kind? #FungiFriends
Mushrooms growing amongst creeping juniper in the carpark. #fungifriends

Pussytoes (Antennaria genus) in the cemetery. #Bloomscrolling, not doomscrolling.
A cheerful cluster of white and yellow daffodils—all with ruffled orange cups or trumpets—doing their best to brighten your feed. #Bloomscrolling, not doomscrolling.
An overblown, blowsy tulip (possibly 'Spryng Sunrise'), its petals wide open to reveal a dark, star-shaped center and a yellow pistil. Petals are a blend of coral-pink and creamy white, featuring delicate vertical red streaks. #Bloomscrolling, not doomscrolling.
A vibrant yellow tulip in full bloom, each feathery petal sporting the thinnest red edge. #Bloomscrolling, not doomscrolling.
The hellebore (Lenten Rose), symbol of resilience and transformation. #Bloomscrolling, not doomscrolling.
The first snow drop (Galanthus) bloom of 2026 happening now in the front garden!
Behold, my beautiful roasted spatchcocked chicken! See the things I can do when I am not exhausted by late stage capitalism and the enshittification of everything.
