Embroidery update with some finished objects! The window one was aggravating because the kit didn’t have quiiiite enough of the light tan floss for the wallpaper so I had to order more before I could finish it. Now I will have DMC 742 to last me decades.

I’ve finally figured out what the mystery plant in the flower bed out front is: it’s what happens when someone hucks their jack-o’-lantern into the flower bed instead of hauling it out to the dumpster.

I love this technique for branches: you backstitch in a darker brown floss and then go back through to whip it with a lighter brown floss and get a lot of depth out of it.
Embroidery update! The Lacy Flowers piece is gorgeous but omg the lace bits were so fiddly. I’m a little amazed I didn’t break my needle trying to force it through the centers of the flowers (which were already solid with satin stitch).
Embroidery update! Didn’t work on this at all last week, my brain was too mushy after work for it, but visiting with family this weekend was perfect for a little forward momentum.
