I prefer the danish method and I also don’t use a hoop so I can push the needle through two holes at a time. I can’t find a video showing how I do it but here’s a photo. It goes wayyyy faster for me.
Once I found the right formula for the exact shade of green I liked, it wasn’t too bad to maintain and the fade out was still pretty. In fact, my hair was pretty stained after years of it. I hated when it faded blue so we’d add a ton of yellow which helped. This was it fresh vs faded.
I got a new cup holder attachment for my rollator and it has a phone mount and expands into two cup holders and I’m obsessed.
These are the general inspo. I want black and white with shading, and cherry blossoms for the flower. And just flowers and the stake.
Got my non-binary pride makeup on and I’m almost ready to head out for Pride!
Not my best work, as it’s a little floppy and uneven, but I finished my walker bag for pride!
The collar turned out so cute. Gotta weave in a million ends and then I’m done. The back is so cute too. Ugh. I’m so proud of this piece.
I only have this much yarn left which should be enough for the collar if I’m strategic.
Y’all! I just have to add the collar and weave in the ends and then I’m done with my pride top! It looks so good. I’m fucking obsessed.
I’ve finished and started attaching the bottom part of the first sleeve since this photo but this is how it’s looking! I’m so pleased! I might be able to pull this off.
Ahhh! Just got a ticket to see Maddie Zahm for the third time in November!
Accidentally made the orange granny square with nine petals instead of eight. Welp, the charm of something handmade! Hopefully it’s not too noticeable. It took a long ass time so I’m not redoing it.
I got the one side of my crochet button up done for my pride shirt! Now I’ve gotta put the other side together, make the granny squares for the sleeves and center back, and add the collar & buttons. I’m so please with how it’s turning out considering I am free styling and not using a pattern.
Excited lasted a few minutes and now it’s time for snuggles and crochet while we watch Buffy.
Phoebe is doing okay. They’re getting her stabilized and are going to keep her for 24-48 hours. She has been officially diagnosed with Addisons disease, which we’re told that once she stabilizes, is very manageable with daily steroids. Let this be a cautionary tale about doodle breeds.
After three months of working on this piece, I’ve finally finished my second filet project! Just in time for Pride month. I’m obsessed with it. Excited to put this one up on my wall.
Another day another wanting to fist fight the governor. Reposted bc I forgot to crop.
Aren’t they??? And those are the ones I could afford. I’m lusting over this $38/400 yd hank of merino/cashmere blend. I fear I need to make a clothing item of some sort out of it.
Pride outfit making has commenced. I looked at approximately 1000 patterns last night and decided to freestyle it bc I can’t find what I’m looking for. The yarns and thread I got yesterday at the independent yarn store are so nice and I’m afraid I’m never gonna want to buy yarn at Michael’s again.
