I really like the construction phase. Two things always astound me when painting: the passage of time. And the creation of something from nothing.
#cyberpunk #digitalpainting #illustration the world of lil is very much a "high tech - low life" one, even though at first it doesn't look like it. The rich connect to the Loop by using an implant - the HALO-interface. Foster thinks he doesn't have a HALO - until an accident activates half of it.
It can't be - but it is true: I finished writing the second season of my series Life in Loops. 17 Episodes done. ___________________________________________________________ My next task is PAINTING all the images for the teaser. Finally some painting again :) It's good to be back, BS!

This is the outline of the last panel for page 13 of my comic "Life in Loops". I wrote the entire first season (9 Eps), and I wrote parts of season 2. Plus I'm making this comic, which nobody takes an interest in. I am the definition of sanity. I mean insanity. Whatever - I like drawing it.
Maybe I'm just a sentimental fool, but I just watched "The Fisher King" and all I want is to create a work of beauty and meaning with my own art. For the first time in my life I've enlisted for a literary competition, and today I've applied for publishing with RandomHouse for one of my novels.

#climatechange I went out walking through the mountains and this was the view from my camp. The trees lack resistance against pests due to a warming climate. Many of them were dead. A lot of this landscape is going to change during our lifetime.

the last two steps added detail and contrast and fixed some shapes (e.g. the waterflow in the background). Finally I added a reflections layer and a light layer (hard light mode) to bring out the edges. I might still work on this later ~ add a shadows layer but that's my process. 💙 M0N0
#wip I adjusted my flats for a better angle on the pod-creatures and made a small herd of them. Then I used the flat colors for selections and filled in a FG (plants), MG (Water+Rocks), Creatures and BG/sky-Layer. Please remember this is work in progress and will look crap for most of the time.
I'm celebrating writing the first Episode of LiL Season 02! I really want to turn LiL into a comic, but I'm better at painting. So, I thought I'd document my process on this one. After the sketch (yesterday) I always start with flats. Looks like crap, but that's the start. Check back soon, M0N0
Planet Feya didn't have organic life, before human colonists arrived. Energy is transfered between the inhabitants of the planet by draining their lifeforce. Humanity is pretty safe there, until a certain species discovers we have a lifeforce, too. - from Life in Loops, book 2- we're going places.
Here's my panel 02_01. Sometimes I wonder why I spend 2-3 days on a tiny panel, but I really wanted to. And...onto the next one ;)
#multitasking While I'm reworking some of my paintings into comic panels, I'm also writing the second season of Life in Loops and sending out promotional material (for my screenplays). :).)|);):)'):).) This is a WIP of panel 02/01 without shading or background.
Since finishing the first season of LiL I've written: -Exposé -Onepager -Overview -Pitch-Deck -Pitch Bible -updated CV -motivational letters -translations of all the above into English +Translation of the double Pilot I'm writing these just for studios+agents...an incredible amount of extra work.
