got Gleam/Lustre into a VST/AU plugin :O by making js ffi bindings for the JUCE's JS API interface. i'm thinking i miiiiiight just go with this for building out the Kitty/GBA VST plugin. i'd definitely get from my figma mockups to there much faster lol

you have something like this for each group. of course, in order to use this in an ideal way some tooling to build the sysex given a 32 digit hex string would be the way to go (in rosetracker there is syntax for putting raw MIDI in a cell and you can create a ruby function to output that)

also a fun rosetracker thing is there is a ruby helper function for attaching an event list to every note in the channel, so i didn't have to put all those SC5 effects manually (none of this API is finalised)

i finally added noise support to kitty advance. i'm not feeling particularly creative tonight, and the last thing the world needs is another SMB recreation, but it does the job for testing basic noise stuff and is a thing i can quickly do from memory lol. i'll probably work on the plugin UI soon

adding pluralkit or similar bots seem to be a point of contention for moderation in some servers. i do think there are some valid concerns. the proxying technicality of deleting/reposting can also mess up bridges. but what about /plu/ral userproxy commands? they're tied to moderatable entities

did anyone have one of these? a watch from 2003 that had multiple time zones, alarms, timers, even a phonebook. you could sync w your computer w a USB cable. you could even write your own apps in assembly (i made a hourly binary beeper alarm and a game of sorts). beep tones had multiple frequencies

more GBA midi stuff, this time sending a more substantial amount of data over the wire lots of electrical noise unfortunately! not sure whether the GBA amp upgrade i plan to install will help with that at all. (featuring some more old anime MIDIs.. Mai Otome this time)

so i got mgba to work in an AU/VST3/CLAP plugin

got that lua visualizer to work with the emulator MIDI input (now to finally do some GFX code to port it to actual GBA) [featuring Trails in the Sky music]

apparently you can really push the voice limit on this mixer, if you bring down the sample rate (and increase the voice array size).. i have it at max 32 here, and no real obvious voice drops on this MIDI (another really old anime OP transcription lol)

ok yeah why not, two birds one stone lol. i connected the keyboard to the GBA emulator midi input and played one of the demo songs from the keyboard.. you can hear it absolutely struggling with the polyphony lmao.. but it works for the most part!

managed to nab one of these for super cheap…they never even sold these in Australia so im wondering how they got it lol. its def seen better days but tested a whole bunch of stuff (recording, MIDI, etc) and everything works! and now to begin the slow process of sampling all the instruments & kits…
