Cat Nap is stunning! More dragged out of my brain. #KidsBooksFriday #kidlit
A couple of books for older readers. Zachariah from The Little White Horse. And his literary offspring, Moggert from Sabriel. #KidsBooksFriday #kidlit
I need my Mum today. So I'm wearing a jumper she knitted me, when I was in high school. It's from wool I chose, in a pattern I chose. We bought the wool from The Old Dairy Factory in Waimaukau / Kumeū back in the day (80s). Matches the hair!
A double day of #Librarianfashion, and storytimes. Wednesday's tshirt by @pepperraccoon.com
I think we've bought up every one of these bunnies... wiped out The Warehouse multiple times. Best advert for our Everybunny Reads event!
Annual soft toy sleepover done!!! I knitted the food I staged for the hautapu. (We used real food.) And, went to my great-great-nibling's first birthday party.
If it's 6°C when walking to work, with a high of 17°, it must be time to break out - for the first time! - my hand knitted skirt in merino/nylon sock yarn. #Librarianfashion 🇳🇿🧶
More picture books! Including a couple of NZ classics. (Tuna is te reo Māori for eel.) #KidsBooksFriday #kidlit
We have history! One of my favourite books is Tyrannosaurus rex vs. Edna, the very first chicken. Which was great when our annual soft toy sleepover visited Peter the T Rex at Auckland Museum.
@restingdinoface.bsky.social I thought you might appreciate my great-nibling's T Rex toy, Chicken, who helped wrapped presents by being in charge of cutting the selotape.
Just done! Trying to stage photos around the dishes I haven't put away, because it's 6.30am and my sisters are asleep...
Mānawatia a Matariki. 6am, and the toys and I have prepared and presented our whāngai i te hautapu.
So many toys!!! I think we had 36 dropped off, but one had to go home after all. Anyway it's time for storytime and bed. Early start in the morning!
Trying to demonstrate the Fibonacci sequence with bunnies. Part 1.
Wednesday was Hair Day, and today is Soft Toy Sleepover Day!
Yay Ash!!! I went to a 5th birthday party! It was fun. We saw a double rainbow and a heron in a tree. And the birthday boy had the most OTT reaction to a giant pseudo-Duplo set.
