My driveway earlier today 🫠😱🫣 This is how it starts when you get your driveway replaced
Diadophis punctatus aka (very smol!) ring-necked snake. Is there a herpsky? Theres gotta be! #herpsky 🐍
Still-life: Post crab destruction feast with Clicquot (and intervening rain)
I'm making deviled eggs, which a friend of mine calls dressed eggs. How do you like to make them?
Got new entryway lighting today. This chandelier is made of re-purposed bud vases. Not bad for an old botanist, eh?
Gen X certainly showed up to this show (Human League - Soft Cell - Allison Moyet), and holy shit are we old, but we do have the most bitchin’ old concert tees. Mine:
Here’s one, done. Yes, that’s cheese oozing. There’s pepperoncini in there too. I’m gonna die I think.
Here’s my dad, btw. Pic from the early 80s. He was a sociology professor.
It’s official now, I’m your American-Canadian (by descent) friend, got an email yesterday.
At long last, an okayyyy video of Lola, playing her pig-bowling game
More Blue, some inverted. Yes, we did Top Gun quotes because we’re fuckin’ nerds.
More from the Blue Angels. Fun fact, one of the last things I did before I retired was sign off on the flight clearance for the Blue Angels’ hearing protection.
More local flora and fauna, some of the McDonnell Douglas-Boeing variety. There’ll be more and better tomorrow because we got VIP seats.
Goslings do not give the tiniest shit about zorching F-18s overhead, they got some fresh cool water!
The squirrels do not like it. The ducks/osprey/heron are tolerating it. Lola is over it. I’m loving it, because aircraft typically fly a little bit slower here, and I do have a pretty good understanding of the need, the need for speed. 😂🫠
I live close - <1 mile as the F-18E/F flies - to Pax River Naval Air Station, so am(very) accustomed to flight activity, but this week has been a treat. For the past 3 days, the Blue Angels have been practicing, giving VIP rides, and generally zorching all over the airspace. This is above my house.
Docks/marina behind our house, and a couple shots of the TJ Johnson bridge, aka the Solomons bridge, aka “the bridge” if you’re a local.
Post the best picture you have ever taken of your pet (if you feel like it):
Mah feegs, gonna be yummy at some point, but probablyearly because it’s hot a lnd humid as fuck here.
Pig-guarding is happening right now, which is a thing that occurs just prior to…pig bowling! I’ll explain…(1/n)
Here he is in front of 153369, now at Udvar-Hazy. This was at the aircraft retirement event out at Dulles in 2015 (with fancy paint job). This a/c was also in his squadron and he flew it frequently. It was the same one that evacuated Ambassador Martin from the embassy in Saigon in 1975.
