I went to open my window more at 5am and saw some surprising cat activity outside in our shared garden! #cats

My parents were away for a few weeks. Longest they’ve been away since the cat adopted them. I’ve been feeding her and she’s let her displeasure be known. She’s quite wild but got very close this time. Lots of meowing which I interpreted as “where are my real parents?!” #cat

Teddy hates the rain, and wind, and cold. This is his face today when I dared to try and and walk him when it was not raining. There was actual sun. It has been raining for a week. It’s probably going to rain for another week. Cajoled him into staying out for 10 minutes #dogs #nonsense

Realised I had half a carton of cream leftover in the fridge and decided to attempt to make butter per Nancy Birtwhistle’s instructions (check out her insta). Incredibly satisfying considering all I did was put it in a container and shake

Welp I did it. I cannot fathom how many days/weeks/months of play it took me to complete it the first time. But those pathways must be burned into my brain because that was maybe 6-7 hours of play over the last three days.

One of the gifts I got was this little game thing that’s made to look like the original NES. It has a lot of random stuff on it, but it does have the original super Mario. I set it up yesterday and I cannot get over the memory I have for this game I haven’t played in more than 30 years #Mario

I have so much to do today. The family will be over in a few hours and there’s still cleaning and food prep to do. Which is to say I spent the last hour adding lights to my Lego village. Frodo is choosing to skateboard into Mordor whereas Gandalf has opted for cross-country skis

It was half done for weeks but I got around to finishing before Christmas.

It’s taken two months and an actual storm but the cat has finally gone into her new house. We hope she’ll eventually figure out the cat door but at least she’s finally gone inside

I have returned home and achieved a proper cup (wheelie bin) of tea

Teddy is disgusted I’ve spent the last two days building a house for the cat who lives entirely outside (due to wildness). I tell him he can’t complain because he gets a cozier place to sleep. He claims he doesn’t have it that easy! #dogs

Complaints were made about the lack of a timely supper and the loud barking cousin. This is closer to me than she’s ever been before. I think she misses my parents as this is the longest they’ve been away since she adopted them. #caturday

Today I have painted the cat house. Definitely much cuter when it’s not grey. I’ve been painting under a “sun” umbrella all day because it’s been threatening rain. Should be all dry in a couple of hours 🤞#caturday

I have spent the afternoon building and insulating a more sturdy house for the cat. Going to paint it to make it a bit more weatherproof. Teddy is disgusted!
