The pictures from this photo shoot I just saw make me sad and a bit more angry than I should be. I mean, I'm happy for Kate Courtney, a really good American cyclist who just got signed to a big European team, but that is NOT how phones work.

One of my favorite coffee roasters just posted about their latest, with these tasting notes. These are not helpful, unless there's been a typo and these beans taste like instant coffee and hubris.

I just got an email telling me that someone reacted to an email I sent them. Is this a normal thing? Are young people going around "liking" emails as if they were some message in a chat?
I was recently in Colombia for work. It was pretty cool. I saw a bunch of coffee farms down there. I really like coffee, but seeing some of the slopes they plant and harvest on makes me think we should probably be paying more for our delicious Colombian coffee.
It was really good to visit Tioga. I miss this vey good boy. At least he has a good dog friend now. (That's Skyler.)
OK, I understand that life is a miracle and that I should be grateful. Sure. Obviously. But the fact that it's a miracle is because it is so fragile and improbable. And *that* is the part I worry about constantly. Gratitude is all good, but it sometimes feels like bringing a flower to a gun fight.
Forgive me if this is too far up my own butt, but the world he's made is pure. Maybe earnest is better. Everybody in there is trying and (usually) helping each other out. Even the ghosts and little gremlins.

iOS 26 has been out a while, but today I found a new (to me) annoyance in the new UI. The first picture here shows the controls in the Apple Music app. What would you push to repeat a playlist or shuffle songs? Second image shows those controls activated…by poking the space where those icons are.

My two cents: it's fine, but in my browser (Vivaldi 7.9.3970.55) there's no way to tell how many pictures have been posted. Add some sort of indicator and it's fine. i.e., this fine post. how long is that cat?!?
