Had an early appointment at NKC Health and it took 5 minutes, so I stopped at the relatively new River Forest Park, which is located just west of the hospital. I had the park all to myself—if you don't count the wildlife.
I'm guessing @vivien3daggers IS a Sophie Cunningham fan (or someone who hates trans people as much as Sophie does).
After driving past it a million times, I finally stopped at Penn Valley Lake to see the other side. It was renovated more than a decade ago, and I've never taken the time until today. The last time I even drove through here, the late artist Wilbur Niewald was painting en plein air.
I barely knew Pat Oliphant, but I worked on his calendars, talked to him on the phone, and met him in person once. Long before I had that editor's job, Oliphant was an influence and an inspiration for me. As a kid, I loved his drawings, his humor, and his attacking wit. RIP, Great One.

So, I have MLB.TV (through T-Mobile) and, as always, the Royals are blacked out. Now, some out-of-market games are on separate streaming services, like the Pirates-Mets game right now. Gotta have Peacock, even though it appears in the MLB.TV lineup. It's so EASY not to be a baseball fan.
What justification is there to purchase two giant-screen video boards, place them side by side, and show exactly the same content?
